The HP toner cartridges are the only ones to get for your HP printer. I got some "compatibles" at 1/3 the price (per Amazon.com recommendation) and they were awful. Since I had already opened them, I didn't return them but tossed them and lost my money. I have already rated them on Amazon.com. Bottom line: get only the HP toner cartridges for your HP printer. Great ink... Because HP Printers recognize that other ink is not their ink and your machine screws up because of it. We had bleed problems with another brands ink and during a talk with HP tech support, the tech informed me that in a diagnostics check he could see that we were not using HP ink. changed the toner cartridge to HP ink and all of a sudden the printer works perfectly again. ... show more

Not sure what to use as a heading. This is ink, of course it's going to work. You buy a specific printer, and you need the ink that works with that printer. How do you review something like this. LOL

This cartridge prints like a well made printer cartridge should. The print on my copies comes out black, just like it should. The letters are just right, readable but not too dark, not too light.
