These were (and are) used to add to braids for my daughters volleyball games. She loves the color. It is exactly as bright as pictured. You simply fold in half, add a small hair tie, and start them in the braid. Very easy to use. We've been using the same ones for a while and just have to comb them out when done and store them flat or in a bag so they don't get knotted. Use Google to search for videos on how to use hair yarn. The color is definitely hot pink like advertised, so that part is accurate. However, the quality was extremely disappointing. The texture felt very rough and artificial — more like craft yarn than actual braiding hair. It looked cheap once installed and didn’t have the smooth, realistic finish I was hoping for. Used it for my daughter's mermaid birthday party hair and for her mermaid halloween costume hair. It worked well. Came braided but easily tangled once got it out of the package and began separating it. Tangles very easily but it was good for what we needed it for.
