When I first bought the Neo 2, I was concerned that it seemed I'd purchased a rather limited child's toy. However, when I added this little antenna, I am now able to fly my Neo 2 the same distance as my DjI Mini 4 Pro. It's worth the money, you can do so much more with it attached that without it. Like connect it to a controller or your phone. If you have the new DjI Goggles 3, you can connect to that as well. But know that all controllers other than your phone, will require you to have an antenna. I've found that this particular one is as good as any other, so paying more for a different brand makes zero sense. Consider also that the batteries that you got with your Neo 2, will give you about 10 minutes flight time, each. But there is an upgrade battery that will increase that flight time to about 25 minutes average. If you're going to use your drone primarily to take selfie shots, then the drone without the antenna or the battery that I mentioned is enough for what you want. But if you actually want to fly your Neo 2 with your phone or a controller, then an antenna is needed and this one works. At the time that I bought mine, it was also the least expensive.
