I think including a remote somehow would go a long way with this. I'm just thinking of that moment when someone is considering whether or not they are going to buy this. I'm willing to bet that the main reason for the people who ultimately decide, "no," is that it doesn't come with a remote. Aside from that, if you have a tripod, and everytime you see it you're thinking, "Sure would be nice if I could put my phone on that..." Well then, this is what you're looking for. Works just fine. I especially like how the part that holds the phone is not spring loaded. It simply just opens and closes as slowly as you turn the knob. And it does have little spaces underneath the main base, for the little bump to go, that some tripods have, to keep it from arbitrarily spinning if it gets loose. The secondary piece that holds the phone has a screw hole too. I guess in case anyone just wants to use that. Not sure why you would want to, but if so, that one does not have a spot for a bump to go underneath where it gets screwed in. "Heh-heh, hmm-hmm, you said..." "Yeah, I know what I said Beavis!
