This is pricey shampoo - not everyone can afford this and if I was really watching what I spend I would not be able to use this product. Having said that, it does leave my gray hair (55 year old male) feeling nicly moisturized without being geasy. Certainly does appeat to make my hair look nicer, younger. FOR THE PEOPLE HERE WHO REPORT GETTING BAD/INCORRECT PRODUCT - while I didn't have this problem with this purchase, I did buy a belt from Amazon that some criminal purchased before me, swaped out the original, and replaced with a old junk belt, then returned to Amazon for a refund. This is not Amazon's fault of course, I don't expect them to be able to check every return (and shampoo - come on - of course they can't check that). It took me awhile to get through the bots on Amazon's customer support site but I was persistant. Really more becuase I didn't want to be a jerk and return the same junk just to get a refund myself and perpetuate the problem to another innocent person just like me. In the end, I was able to get in a chat with a real person from Amazon's customer support and explained the issue, sending in a picture. They not only refunded the belt cost, but the credited me with the full cost of a replacement and apologized for my trouble. So if this happened to you - give Amazon a chance to make it right.

This is the best shampoo that I have found since my hair has turned completely gray. It is very thick, very rich, and has a wonderful smell that seems to last for a couple of days. I find that the shampoos also lasts, even though it is a small bottle because you don't need that much to get a really great lather. I highly recommend this product for ladies with gray hair. It is pricey, but it is worth it!

The only silver shampoo that does not leave my white/grey hair slightly purple after multiple washings. It is expensive but WELL worth it. My hair does not dry out using it, like it has with other brands of silver shampoo, and it leaves my white hair glossy and bright. It takes very little, maybe a quarter size (I have almost shoulder length fine hair) to get a good lather and I let it set on my hair while washing the other bits of me. A bottle lasts me about 3 months, maybe a little longer as I sometimes alternate shampoos, meaning I sometimes use Oribe Gold Lust and Hydrating shampoos. It does not leave my hair flat rather it is bouncy, and it is effective as keeping my white/grey streaked hair healthy and young looking. The bottle size is good size for my shower shelf and, to date, I've experienced no allergic reactions to any of the Oribe products and I use their shampoo, mousse, and conditioner.

As someone who went gray and stayed that way, I have searched and tried about everything for 10 years. This shampoo was expensive, but looked great and was NOT purple, so I decided to try it - I will say it is WORTH THE PRICE and does everything it promises. My hair has never looked so healthy and not a drop of discoloration anywhere. It looks good and smells good. It is healthy and growing. I still cannot get over how nice this shampoo is and after using for two months I am going to continue. I normally would never spend this much on myself for a shampoo but with results like this, I will budget it in!

I have been using Purple shampoos and cream rinses on my mostly gray hair. I was trying to remove brassiness. Sometimes my hair would have a purple tint. After reading reviews, I decided to try oribe. I’ve been using it for about two weeks now and went to my hairdresser. She said that my hair had a much softer texture and better shine. She asked what I had started using. She said she was going to buy oribe for herself after seeing my results. That is a great endorsement.

I love Oribe Silverati shampoo because it truly makes the grey in my hair a beautiful silver. My sister didn't believe me until she came to visit. Suddenly she remarked, "Sister! Your hair IS a beautiful silver!" -- and now she uses it too. But what came in this order isn't right. The bottle is right, but instead of a beautiful opaque & creamy silver-blue, the shampoo is a dull transluscent yellow-grey. And instead of creamy, it's more runny, and doesn't lather well. And to make matters worse, after five days of using it, my hair feels waxy and the grey in my hair has gone from the beautiful silver to a dull yellow-grey. So yesterday I decided to drive the distance to the one shop in my area that sells Oribe, and I bought a bottle, as much as anything, to make sure I wasn't imagining the difference in the shampoo. Or perhaps the formulation has changed since I last bought it. But no, the bottle I bought at the salon is the creamy silver-blue that I remembered. Additionally, there are some ingredients in shampoos that I'm allergic to. Since I started using the Oribe that I bought from Amazon, my scalp has been itching like crazy. I didn't really connect that dot until I was talking to a friend and she made the connection. So the Amazon bottle was not the real thing and was a waste of money. I've posted a picture of the two shampoos above. I'll let you guess which is which.

Purchased for my wife as she wanted a good grey hair shampoo. She said the shampoo feels like it leaves a little more film in her hair than she likes. She really like the conditioner. Most likely will not reload on the shampoo at the cost of it but I am sure she will keep using the conditioner.
