Since 4 years I take this for my hairs and its for me not only an Oribe Run-Through Detangling Primer, its also a good protection for the hair generally by longer hairs. The only thing is, that we all have different hairs and so I can only telling my own experiences.

Oribe can be costly but I love the scent and quality. This is a nice way to incorporate the line into my routine without breaking the bank on the full shampoo/conditioner combo. Makes my hair easy to brush out and leaves it smelling incredible!

This my first time trying anything from Oribe. For context, I have 2C texture and my hair is relaxed. As I relax every 16 weeks it is vital that I have a product that can detangle my hair without breaking it (relaxing can stripe your hair of moisture) and maintain the health of my hair from harsh chemical use. The mist sprays fine and evenly all over. I have not experienced any clogging. I am able to immediately comb through any tangles and snarls. My on caveat and the reason for four stars not five, is the smell. I noticed a subtle eggy odor from the product while spraying. It isn't entirely unpleasant as it disperses quickly however once I dry and curl my hair, the smell returns. It's almost as if someone put perfumed eggs in my hair. It is the only way I can describe it. Luckily Moroccan hair oil does help to mask that smell. I don't know if anyone else has experienced this smell, but it isn't enough that would stop me from using the product or returning it, but I might decide not to repurchase.

I've been on a years-long search to find the right combination for my daughters 4c kinky hair. She is very tender-headed, so a good detangler is a must. I stumbled upon Oribe and it actually works really well so it made since to add it to our wash day arsenal. However, the price is steep for the amount and understandably gives some people pause. Is it a good product? Yes. Is it worth the price? Each person has to determine their own price elasticity. If it helps, it retails $10 cheaper at W*LM**T. I give it 4 stars only because of the price for volume. It feels expensive for what it is, so it's not a no-brainer purchase decision.

I have thin, oily hair with a beautiful weave tied in. Since the weave hair is thick and dry, I do a top wash of my natural hair only every three days and wash all the hair once a week (I separate the hair on my head with the weave in a pony tail to do this). . Anyway, for the top wash which I do in the sink, I only use a shampoo for oily hair and no conditioner. After I towel dry my hair, I use a little bit of this for the tangles. A little goes a long way so this really lasts for me. It has a light scent and doesn’t weight my hair down or make more greasy.

I've been using this for years. Since way back when it was $75 and not $40 ish. I absolutely loved it and used it all of my kids. (3 girls and a boy all with different hair types.) It smelled so nice and worked well on all of us. Until the last few bottles I got. (The last few months of 2024.) They changed the scent. What was once a very light a pleasant scent is now so overpowering like old lady perfume. I sprayed one spray on my oldest daughter and both of us winced. I'll never ever understand why a brand changes something that already sells so well. Why make a light pleasant scent so overpowering? I have removed my 5 star reviews from Amazon and have low left one stars. There is no reason to do this especially when in this day and age most people do not like overpowering or perfume scents. I cant express my disappointment enough. I absolutely loved this product and was a loyal customer for so so long.

The hair primer/detangler is excellent - I have thin, straight hair and it's lightweight while conditioning, and it smells great (signature Oribe) However, the bottle is a heavy plastic and you can't open it; the spray top is flimsy and the mist goes in every direction which wastes a lot product. I don't understand why such a luxury brand with quality products would continue to be so thoughtless and outdated with their packaging. A more effective/functional and environmentally conscious container is not complicated - Many other brands in your price range do so. Maybe Oribe can lower their prices (or increase their profits) if they'd reduce the ridiculous, wasteful packaging. **"Please change the packaging - do the right thing by your loyal customers, our environment, and the collective Good. Thanks!
