I haven’t used the oil yet but I was disappointed that the packaging was beat up, crushed and opened. The box the item came in was open and looked like it was taken out of the trash bin. How do I know the product is the oribe product and not another oil that was put inside the open jar?

I have used this hair oil for years. I’m not sure if this is authentic as it did not have that luxurious smell I love. Maybe it’s a bad batch or expired batch. Will exchange it for another one in hopes it was just a bad one.

Cap arrived broken and there’s no way to get the oil out from it. So I poured some into my hand and there is absolutely no scent whatsoever. This CANNOT be an actual Oribe product. I needed it fast so I ordered it here, but returning and ordering a new one from Sephora.

I’m fast falling in love with Oribe products. As someone who was a loyal Aveda user for over 10 years, switching brands wasn’t something I took lightly—but Oribe has really impressed me so far. I’m still in the process of figuring out which specific line works best for my thick hair, and to be honest, I wish there was some kind of online quiz or guide to help match your hair type and goals to the right products. It can be a little overwhelming with so many amazing options to choose from. That said, every product I’ve tried so far has been high quality, beautifully scented, and leaves my hair feeling soft, nourished, and salon-level polished. Even though I’m still narrowing down my go-to favorites, I’m enjoying the process and really happy with the results so far. If you’re on the fence, I’d say give it a try—especially if you’re looking for a luxe upgrade to your haircare routine!

This is a wonderful product that creates new life and moisture back into hair. My hair absorbs this oil and loves it. I decided to try oiling my hair. Tried other oils but they all seemed too messy and too much. This one is perfect. I have used other Oribe products and overall have found you can’t go wrong with this brand. They really put your hair health as a priority. I have had a major change in my hair health since I started using this line. Every product has the Oribe scent I could recognize anywhere. My husband compliments the way my hair smells since I started using these products. The softness and shine of my hair has improved. All Oribe products are more expensive but I have found I can buy ten other products or one good one. I’m a hair product junky and have gone the hair snob route but in the long run I have fewer better products, less clutter and better hair.

YouTuber Dr. Dray described this hair oil as basically perfume for your hair. I was intrigued mostly by that because I’ve heard about this brand of shampoos and conditioners since before the pandemic, but couldn’t justify the cost of any of those. Dr. Dray is a board licensed dermatologist and is usually a stickler about staying away from scented products. But she sang the praises of this hair oil for keeping her hair soft and worth the splurge, that I bought it. There is NO SCENT. I don’t know if this stuff goes bad sitting around, and the scent gets weaker. I just don’t know. I bought it primarily to find out what this gorgeous scent was everyone talks about with this brand and it was a bust. I even had my husband open the bottle as well as smell my dried hair after use. He said he smelled something. But it was very light. Not bad but not hair perfume at all. For all we knew, it could have been vegetable oil. I’m not saying it is, but yeah—talk about being bummed with this purchase. And I agree with someone else’s assessment of the pump on the bottle feeling fairly cheap for a product this bougie. The gold and black plastic bottle is “painted” beautifully, but that cheap plastic cap and pump ruin everything. I almost spilled precious oil trying to get that cap off. The actual product did leave my hair feeling the slightest bit soft and healthy. Not shiny or greasy. So that’s a bonus. Maybe quality control would be better ordering directly from Oribe. But even on their own website there are reviews from customers who’s first time experience with the brand left them baffled they couldn’t smell the oil OR longtime customers who swear the scent had become weaker with each subsequent purchase and maybe the formula has changed. Glad for all of the people who are loving this product. Because those of us who received “duds” really feel the bite of this purchase.
