I have very fine and thin hair. I know, right? How lucky can one girl get? To top it off, as I get older, it's getting thinner, so yay! (Ok, not really "yay".) I first heard about Oribe dry shampoo in a Buzzfeed review of several dry shampoos. Each reviewer said Oribe was amazing, but so expensive that they would stick with the much cheaper Batiste. And then at the end of the article, they confessed that they loved Oribe so much they actually did go and buy it. That's a pretty awesome recommendation. Plus, they each mentioned how the dry shampoo gave their hair more umph. I need umph. Everyone talks about how great it smells, but smell is so individual that I know just because other people love the smell doesn't mean that I necessarily will. So I started out by buying the purse size one. It was cheaper and I wouldn't cry as many bitter tears if I didn't like it.I got it and used it. I didn't have any experience with dry shampoo before this, but it seemed to do what I needed. I could see some umph difference, but I figured it was one of those things where I'm the only one that can see the difference. (Oh, and I did like the smell. I saw a review that said it smells like Dulce and Gabanna Light Blue, which doesn't help me at all, because I've never smelled that, but it may help you :) I used it this morning as my husband and I went out for breakfast and chores. As we were heading into the restaurant he said, "Wow, you look amazing. I mean, you always look great, but there's something else today." I smiled and said, "It's a secret." The fact that my husband saw the difference was enough for me. I came home today to post this review and buy several other Oribe products. (Gulp.) I hope that your loved ones will see the same difference that my husband did.

The media could not be loaded. I like the light fresh scent & it sprays lightly onto your scalp. It goes on easily & does not leave a trace of dry shampoo. Your hairis refreshed & easy to style. It does not irritate your scalp at all. It can be used a couple days before you have to wash again. My hair is color treated so I appreciate the benefits of this!

I can’t believe how awful this dry shampoo is…. It had such good reviews and I was so hopeful. My hair seemed even more oily after using it than before. It was only 1 day old hair and barely oily in the first place. Tried using more and it was even worse. It felt heavy, and smelled so perfumy.. I would give zero stars if I could, especially considering the price. For reference, I typically use Dry Bar detox dry shampoo which works great. I’ve grown tired of the smell and wanted to try something new. I’ll be returning to dry bar.

I was on the fence about buying this due to its price point, but took the plunge recently, as I have very fragile hair and only Oribe or Kerastase products will leave it undamaged. For a dry shampoo, it does the trick - I have black hair, and other than a bit of dullness, it doesn’t leave much of a cast, miraculously. The one flaw here, and it is a major one, is the scent. Now, hear me out. We all know the amazing scent of Oribe products, and it’s not the smell itself that’s the problem. The problem is that if you use just enough of the dry shampoo to actually do the job, you WILL smell like a perfume factory until you wash your hair again. It is overpoweringly strong. I wear perfume every day, but this was so strong that it was embarrassing. I had coworkers asking me why I smelled so strong all day, and even my husband, who has no real sense of smell, got within five feet of me and let out a “Woah!” Overall, a good product, but be warned: if you do use it, EVERYONE will know about it.
