So far the product is as advertised. No bad scent, no water at the bottom of the bag, the right amount of moisture so the compost isn't too dry. From the photo on the product listing, I was expecting a box twice as tall as the one I received. The box I received is 4.5 inches tall. The 10-pound box is for 7 quarts. I should have spent the extra $8 and ordered the 12-quart box of compost. It's a bit deceptive to use weight for one item (10 pounds for a 7-quart box) and quantity for another of the same product (12 quarts with no weight in the main title). But now I can't locate the 12-quart listing anywhere, even in the Old Potters store on Amazon. I'll be using this sparingly and supplementing with soils from my local hardware store.

I was so happy to receive this bag of dark, rich compost at such a good price! So far, I have top dressed all my indoor plants, and beside looking beautiful, I know this compost will keep them fed and happy. There is quite a bit left, so I'll keep it up and save the rest for springtime. This purchase was well worth it and highly recommended.

I found this fertilizer to work quite well on my young bachelor button and sunflowers. They weren't growing very well and two of them had yellow leaves, but about 6 days of adding this product the leaves and stems are looking very healthy!
