I love that this coffee is both USDA Organic and Swiss Water Processed—two major wins in my book. It’s a very clean-tasting decaf, without any harsh aftertaste or chemical notes. That said, the flavor is a bit light for my preferences, especially when brewed in a Chemex. I’ve found that grinding it finer than usual helps bring out more of its nutty, chocolatey notes. It’s a great everyday decaf if you value clean ingredients and a mild roast, but bold coffee lovers may want something with a bit more depth. ... show more

Flavor Name: DECAF Hurricane Espresso Roast
I really love this organic espresso. We have a Breville Expresso maker with grinder (now over 10 years old and still loving it) and this makes a truly great espresso when ground and brewed in one shot. It has a complex, deep and satisfying flavor and has a very clean mouth feel and taste. This last point is important because many coffees are too heavily processed and end up with a chemical residual taste or feel. I think DD is guilty of this. If you are a regular decaf espresso drinker, you know that finding a good decaf espresso that has full body is not always easy. This one does not disappoint and it's organic beans and decaf process ensures a natural experience. Have also gifted this to others who also felt similarly about it. Decaf, organic, water processed and medium light roast checked all the boxes to give that a try. However the color and just the smell alone gave it almost away. Grinded and tried as a pour over as well as espresso confirmed it’s a dark roast coffee. To bitter and to the point where it tastes burned to me. Not my taste but maybe someone else’s. 3 points for incorrect advertising. Also, came in the same box with floor cleaner and termite poison. Not sure what the logic is here but that can’t be. However that is a shipping and logistics issue and not a coffee issue. Just saying anyway. ... show more

Flavor Name: Gorilla Decaf
This IS NOT light/ medium roast! They are lying . It is the typical decaf burnt roast. It’s black as night, oily as hell( as is most burnt toast coffe- dead guvrawsy) and smells burnt . I mix decaf with caffeinated coffee 3to 1 so it will at least be a tiny bit diluted but it won’t be enough, Ii hate burnt tasting coffee and bought this specifically because it said it was light/ medium roast. Very unhappy with this and obviously will not be buying any more burnt coffee from them, ... show more
