After about 7 YEARS my trusty Oral-B Black 7000 finally died. I got this one overnight-ed and I'm very happy with the choice. The price was reasonable (especially compared to some of the other Oral-B offers that are double or triple this one). Right away I noticed how this handle feels lighter than m
y old one, but surprisingly has more power to the brush. I used to keep my old one at the top speed, but this one I had to knock it down a speed or two (I do like the top speed too, but it feels a bit extra; maybe I just have to get used to it). The other thing that's neat, is the app itself. Same app as I had before, but now it has some sensors and shows me literally what teeth I'm brushing! Not just a timer. But like back, front, tops, bottoms, middle, etc.. AND it even shows you a color from blue to white as you really clean that area so you can move around your mouth and ensure you're getting good coverage. Pretty impressive the brush/app can figure that out from the angle and directions (role/pitch/yaw). The battery life is also great. My old one started to die after a day or two. This one I can charge once and leave it in the shower for a week or more no problem. I don't have to take the charger on vacations with me either as I'm confident this has enough juice to last the whole trip. I like how the modes are displayed in little light up icons ON the brush too (last one didn't have that, so I was always having to cycle and guess, or use the app to set the mode). The light at the top is always on and can be a bit annoying, but also something I think I just need to get used to. All in all, a solid choice.

I wish they had not changed charging systems as we have been long time users so we had spare chargers for vacati
on, for in the RV, and for at home. Now I need to remember to pack charger for our longer trips. A single charge lasts about a week brushing for 2-3 minutes twice a day. I brush about 1 minute longer than the programmed timer in the tooth brush. Overall very satisfied with their products and would buy it again.

I've been researching OralB toothbrushes for a LONG TIME. There are way too many options to choose from. I'm a loyal Sonicare user for many yrs, but wanted to try the round brush to compare results. I decided on this brush for the simplicity. I don't particularly need the Bluetooth feature & haven't
tried it yet so I can't speak on it. The Amazon packaging was just fine but the actual product box was a mess! It appears to have gotten wet at some point. I can't believe a company would send a product out in that condition. Fortunately, the product itself wasn't damaged at all so I didn't return it. I like the multiple speeds, the timer, & the pressure feature. I also like that the brush is firm, yet soft. I was very pleased with the cleaning I got after one use. Being able to focus on each tooth with the rounded head like dentists use is satisfying. I still love my Sonicare but now I have another good option I think will bring good results with use. My only gripe is the thing is LOUD! It sounds like a jet is taking off in my mouth! But if that's the only issue I'm happy.

After spending hours comparing reviews of the Oral B vs Sonicare it appears that the rotary action of the Oral b is superior to the up/down motion of the Sonicare. The Oral b Smart 5000 is a very well made electric toothbrush . I had first bought the Oral b pro 1000 but immediately sent it back becau
se the button was difficult to locate while brushing and the surface of the handle was too slick to hold when wet. The 5000 has a raised button and a rubber like coating which alleviate these issues. The only problem is the Bluetooth App which has few instructions and is generally worthless. After spending a considerable time researching this app, I would recommend not wasting your time. Once you master the App you will find that it serves no practical purpose. I would highly recommend the Oral b Smart 5000 electric toothbrush.

I upgraded to this toothbrush finally after years of using Quip electric toothbrush and the difference was incredible. I love how clean my teeth get with this toothbrush even though they are crooked and difficult to clean with ordinary toothbrushes. I like all the different features and the ability t
o connect the brush to my phone to do guided sessions so I can make sure I cover all the areas, especially when I first started using this toothbrush. However, the same fact that there are all these features makes this a hassle to use sometimes. I wish there was an easier way to just fix the toothbrush to stay on one setting forever. I use the daily clean feature and the tongue cleaner regularly but they are the first and last settings on the toothbrush. So I have to make sure to press through all the other options to switch it every time, which is very frustrating. You can fix it by starting a goal on your phone with the setting you like but it doesn't stay like that for a long time if you aren't using your phone every time you brush. The battery life is pretty decent. It lasts me around two weeks after a full charge and it charges overnight. The case is perfect for traveling and replacing the heads was very easy. If they made the tongue cleaning feature and teeth cleaning feature work with separate buttons, I feel like I would have no complaints.

I got this to replace an Oral B brush I had gotten at least 6 years ago (I have no idea what model it was). I basically just wanted to replace it with whatever the newest model was. e. I was a bit disappointed that literally nothing had been done whatsoever to improve the brush and the only thing that seems to have changed is that it costs more now.. But I liked my previous brush and I like this one. It works exactly the same. I did almost send it back, however because the brush was in the box with nothing covering it, and, I don't really know what was going on, but it was covered in like a very fine dust. It was bad, real bad. I would have sent it back except the box was sealed and the cord/charger were sealed inside the box. It all looked new and not refurbished except for the brush itself was a mess. I was able to clean it and I guess I am keeping it, but for the price you kind of would like to see the item look brand new when you first open it.
