Overall, I’m pleased with how the light and design look, but there are some definite quality issues, which is a bummer. The included mounts did NOT come with adhesive, which the manual and other reviews said was included. The mounts come with very short screws, which come out of the wall easily if pulled, leaving behind large holes. There is also no way to tighten the mounts enough that they won’t rotate. It would have been impossible to make this design if I didn’t already have some better (adhesive) mounts from different lights, especially since this light only came with 8 mounts. The battery in the remote was dead when I received it, which was a bit disappointing. The biggest issue with this light is that the last foot (or more) of the rope won’t light up at all. Luckily this didn’t make my design look too weird, but I would still like it a whole lot more if the whole rope lit up as it’s supposed to. I’m relatively happy with the end result, so i don’t really feel like it would be worth the trouble to return/exchange it, but I still wanted to leave a review so that any potential buyers are aware of the quality issues with this product. ... show more

    • Work Well, But Plan Mounting Carefully
We have a bazillion LED light sets at this point. One of my kids keeps picking them out and adding to their collection, so we've tried just about every style out there now. The quality is good - the lights are bright and the remote works perfectly. Installation was the only issue with these because no amount of adhesive or tape makes them stick. They're heavy. I ended up using push pins (the longer type) on the top and bottom, kind of alternating position in a zigzag pattern to pin it in place without actually pinning the string. That's working so far. I was excited to have some mood lighting in my gaming room. While this is definitely easy to install, has a lot of light options, and easy to use, I felt like I could have gotten a little better. This one doesn't have the best flexibility and the colors have to be manually changed. It's okay but I did invest in a different kind that is better suited for my needs ... show more
