First thought when I got this winch was I could not believe how light it was. I was shocked when I opened the box and realized there was a winch inside. Definitely not complaining as my quad isnt super powerful so any extra weight is going to make an impact to I like that its light weight. Its also quite compact and came with a mounting bracket so it was also very easy to mount. When testing the wireless remote it connected quickly without issue and works from pretty darn far away which came in handy. It looks and sounds really good too, didn't hear any weird grinding or noises just a consistent hum. Have not used it a lot but it made easy work of the tree I had to move to clear the trail I was working on. Never got bogged down or felt like it was struggling, Honestly had to sit on the quad to keep if from moving so I suspect vehicular weight will be more of a limiting factor than the winch will be. Really please with it overall, Will be buying another when I get a new quad

We needed a light duty winch for small jobs around our property. Things like pulling downed trees or other materials. This winch is fully capable of pulling to it's rated capacity. As small as it is, I was surprise that it has a clutch and spring load plate to keep the rope from becoming a mess. I have pulled up to a 1200 lb load with it. The electrical connections are the only down side to this winch. I need to be able to use it on a couple of different vehicles. The harness is built so the remote control is hardwired to the winch and vehicle battery. To store the remote control out of the weather it would have to be disconnected from the winch. To move the winch between vehicles, the winch would have to be disconnected from the vehicle battery and reconnected at the other vehicle. Overall, this light duty winch is fine for our needs. The one piece wire harness for the battery/controller/winch is a limitation or inconvenience. What I liked is that the switch/relay all came pre-wired together. So I did not have to sort all that out. the cables to hook to the battery and the ones that connect to the motor are color coded, makes it easy. As well, plastic covers for each of the powered cable mounting points. Comes with a in/out switch so you don't need the remote. Comes with 2 remotes. Comes with a plate and bolts to mount to an ATV.. But also, there are other products you can buy to mount this too and have it go into a trailer hitch and you mount this winch on that - which is what I did. This gives me more options in where I can hook the winch up to. Just have to work in the battery - which I also went with a separate option here too. Just for flexibility. 6,000 lbs was more than enough for what I needed this for. And the rope length of 50 ft was more than enough. 1/4 synthetic rope thickness. The weight of this guy is at just under 40lbs.. So it's built extremely well. The remotes come with batteries already installed. They use 12v 23A batteries. Replaceable. Hook is of high quality - very solid. It's not going to give. Side of the motor has engaged and freespool options - just twist. Will report back after I take on heavier projects on how well this performs. Going to try and use it, since the rope goes out so far to dismantle a dead tree surgically.

The OPENROAD 3500 lb ATV/UTV Winch has turned into a great addition to my Yamaha Wolverine. The heavy-duty 12V electric winch is impressive looking and boasts a 3500 lb rating, providing ample power for various ATV and UTV applications (even more when using a snatch block). , and the 1/4"×29' synthetic rope is super lightweight and ensures strength and safety under demanding conditions. The wireless remote control adds a layer of convenience, allowing me to operate the winch from a distance with ease. Hopefully it holds up.

Compact and very powerful winch. I got really surprised with size. Was expecting little bit bigger. In the box you literally will have everything you need for installation. Of cause it depends on where and how you want to install it. Looks like good quality made. Unfortunately can't look inside the mechanism. But time will show. This particular, I have decided to install to the car moving trailer. Have no problem to pull middle size sedans into the trailer. Rope took it great. When it works, doesn't feel it overheating or making any abnormal noises. Like it has two remote controls. My opinion so far, great alternative to the winches such as WARN. And very affordable price.

This winch is a pretty good bang for your buck when looking at the value it provides. Upon unboxing it, I did a quick inspection and decided that I would switch out the hook for one that I already had on hand from a name brand, and I'm seriously considering replacing the rope with a steel wire one that I've got laying around as well. However, as it comes, it is still a great addition to an ATV of your choosing, as it can get you out of a bad situation quickly, or make a large improvement on a particular job that you may be working on. Your imagination is the limit with this thing. I am a little unimpressed with the maximum weight rating, but 3.000 pounds is definitely a functional weight limit. Oh, and keep in mind that even with the synthetic rope, this thing is HEAVY. It will definitely add a good hunk of weight to your platform, so keep that in mind if you're going to be driving up or down hills. Your weight distribution will significantly change. Still, it's a good starter set, and I'm happy with it.
