It’s gone in an hour or two (as far as silage and projection) but… Okay this is a freshie, with a slight twist. It’s an out of the shower fragrance - a bit soapy (which is exactly what I wanted) - with a minimalistic approach to some slight fruit undertone. It’s not obvious. It’s not sweet - I can’t really describe it. It’ll be great right out of the shower and keeping you feeling and smelling fresh and clean - and interesting. It’s not musky. It’s not very spicy (not in the pronounced way that is typical of men’s cologne). Its not heavy. It’s very subtle and understated. You can amplify its effect with more sprays but it will never go beastmode - I like that it’s safe from being screechy, cloying, obnoxious. End result will be you’ll smell clean for maybe an hour or 2 - it’s a slight skin scent after that - undetectable unless your nose is against your skin. I, without a doubt say this easily passes as UNISEX so ladies - go for it, too! The scent is so non-gendered - it will just mingle with the Skin of whomever is wearing it. I recommend - just keep it (or a travel atomizer) on you to refresh every hour or so. LADIES! PRO TIP! Layer this over philosophy Pure grace lotion, body spritz or perfume - and you have a soapy, fresh, clean, but warm beautiful scent (not the squeaky clean sterile scent of pure grace alone). UPDATE: I just ordered another bottle because I’m obsessed with this scent, now. Don’t get me wrong - I liked it when I first smelled it but it quickly moved to the bottom of my fragrance display - I was almost indifferent to it but I didn’t dislike it. Anyways - a few weeks after purchasing - I had a little anxiety and was thinking this would be a good scent to wear - it’s super subtle and smooth and not loud (like my thoughts at the time). So I got out of the shower and gave a few sprays, over pure grace lotion. Let them dry then sprayed all over again. That’s a big benefit to this frag- it’s impervious to overspraying - you literally can’t overdo it. I’m all about one spray to the neck and maybe one to the wrists depending on fragrance strength. Not with this. I go to town with this! Because after 40 seconds - it’s just freaking delightful and still understated. Anyways! I used it that day and it was growing on me so I used it the next day. And the next day. Now I literally look forward to getting out of the shower just so I can wear this. There was some sort of note I couldn’t pinpoint - I didn’t hate it - but I wasn’t familiar with it - it made me feel like it kept this from being strictly soapy. I’m glad it’s there! I already have strictly soapy frags (Pure grace, for example). This one is soapy plus something else and I can’t get enough of it. Also! You can spray away and then put on a different fragrance a few hours later and it won’t clash because this is already a skin scent. I will always have a backup of this. In my opinion, the people on here who received good bottles and are bashing the scent probably have way too high of expectations for a $20 bottle of cologne. Lucky You was the first cologne I started wearing in high school, when I caught a whiff of my friend’s cologne and asked him what it was. Target sold 1.7 oz bottles at the time, and I’d pick up a bottle every so often. I got MULTIPLE compliments, including from the ex girlfriend of the friend I mentioned before, as well as my sister, who always said, “You smell SOOO good!” I can’t compare the number of compliments to other colognes because I only recently branched out and started buying other colognes. However, recently I pulled out an old bottle of Lucky to throw on for an evening out, and just an hour later, a random college-aged girl sitting nearby turned around and asked, “WHAT are you wearing. It smells SO good.” I was a little worried that this bottle would be a fake or would be really watered down, especially considering how cheap it is, but in the air and on my skin it smells the same as it always has. Straight away, it smells strongly of citrus and alcohol, which is to be expected since it’s a true cologne (look up cologne vs. edt vs. edp vs. parfum if you don’t know about fragrance concentration levels). To me, after the dry down, it smells very fresh, soapy (if you like soapy fragrances), citrusy, and slightly sweet, which I’m guessing is the cardamom. I don’t know much about base notes, but Fragrantica.com identifies teakwood, sandalwood, and musk, which are classically very masculine scents. It only projects for an hour or two, which is to be expected for a true cologne and in my opinion is great for an evening out or to kick off your day at work. My teen (who thought he’d like it based on description) said it just smells like rubbing alcohol. I don’t smell rubbing alcohol but I also don’t smell much fragrance to it either.
