The manually- operated cylinder will inflate your personal flotation device (PFD) in seconds, and has a 0.5-inch threaded screw head that affixes to your inflatable PFD. Comes complete with a rearming kit. I had never actually fired my vest off to check the CO2 device. It worked great, the down side being $20 for a refill. I ordered 2, one of the green recharge reset tabs was broken, so I used the one from the 2nd kit. No response from the seller so I called the company direct and they are sending a couple new tabs. When you pull the cord the vest fills in less than a second. Good to test every few years just to make sure it works. ... show more

Followed directions to the tee. Insured the manual inflator arm was completely closed. Step 2 of Rearm Instructions: Carefully insert a new green indicator tab so that it fully covers the red semi-circle on the body. I insured the green tab was straight upon pushing it in. Problem: the tip on the green indicator tab broke off inside the inflator arm when pushing it in. Company needs to add a couple of extra green tabs. I assume it will still work when the handle is pulled. Changed to a 4 star because company was able to assist me by sending me additional green tabs. ... show more

I liked that you could rearm your suspender type life vest to protect the fisherman but you need to check them if stored in a hot boat locker in southern summers. He has had better luck since deciding to use manual pull rather than auto pin when you hit the water. This product keeps you from having to discard the vest and buy another. ... show more
