  • Pile of saw dust under your hats? These are perfect for you!
Size: On Stage Maple 5A Nylon Drumsticks 12 Pairs
Guys seriously...If you are looking for well balanced perfect sticks then look elsewhere...these are cheap practice sticks..If you area heavy hitter and you blow through tons of expensive sticks during practice then these are perfect...they are cheap...they are cheap for a reason...The only issue I have had is the tips...spend the time and glue them on properly...the tips go flying all the time. Just use simple cheap super glue. They are just pressed on and they dont stay. Did I mention they ere cheap? I got these for just that...I chew up sticks and for practice sessions or just jamming I use these...If I am playing out then I use my good sticks...buy those in bricks too...a lot cheaper but dont expect to much for this price . They are weighted good enough for that...they last a decent amount of time even for heavy hitters...Im a rim shot guy...flat snare......my snare tears mine up quick...plus the way my hats are I chew through them pretty quick...but THEY ARE CHEAP....thats the real deal here. Not the sticks. For the price of these things I am giving them a solid 5 stars...just remember if you get the nylon tips...glue them on...they wont stay on there more than 3 minutes...unless youre a jazz guy...maybe 10 :) If you have any questions please leave it in the comment box and I will try to help you. As always be safe and happy drumming!! ... show more

  • Truly Great!
Size: On Stage Maple 5A Nylon Drumsticks 12 Pairs
I'll be honest, I was on the fence about these sticks. I've always preferred to buy name-brand products, and Vic Firth has always been my go-to brand for sticks, but I've been a bit strapped for cash lately, and decided to give these a shot. What do I think of them? They're great! So far, I haven't broken a single stick, and I've been playing everyday since I bought them over a month ago! They chip and dent just as often as Vic Firth sticks do, but because they seem to be a tad bit thicker, they're not breaking yet. A couple of times I've had the nylon tip fall off, but all I did was push it back on against a hard surface, and it stays on. I imagine that if it flew off you could always put a drop of crazy glue inside of tip before putting it back on the stick. All in all, for the price and the amount of sticks that you get, combined with how durable they seem to be, these are a great value. I recommend giving them a try if you're strapped for cash and can't afford name-brand sticks. ... show more

  • Do not waste your time!!
Size: On Stage Maple 5A Nylon Drumsticks 12 Pairs
Ive been a drummer for the better part of 20 years... These sticks are not worth it. Yeah, they are inexpensive and you get a lot of them, but save yourself the trouble and dented skins!... I figured why not, give them a shot, more of a goof chance than anything (hey, sometimes it pays off) but Im not mad that I did, I learned my lesson like so many others... Half of the sticks were warped, they break easily (after 2 hours of moderate playing) and Im not a hard hitter, the nylon tips are not glued on well, they come flying off, and caused me to dent 2 heads from the sharp tip. Furthermore, they are not sized properly. They are the diameter of a 5b, but the weight of a 5a, obviously due to inferior woods being used... I threw away the last 5 pairs that were left as I couldn't take the hassle and damage any more... Do yourself a favor, buy the Pro-Mark Japanese white oak sticks, they cost a bit more, but last 10 times longer than any other wood stick I have ever played, are perfectly balanced and tuned. ... show more

  • Great Sticks if You're not a Professional Drummer or Expecting Pro Quality for a Ridiculously Low Price
Size: On Stage Maple 7A Nylon Drumsticks 12 Pairs
I will start by stating that I'm a 3 year drummer - I'd say that I'm a hack, but then all the hacks would hate on me, so keep this in mind ... Overall, these are great sticks for the drumkit in your house. They are a tad bit wider than I'd prefer, but I can always run a pair through the belt sander if the width really bothers me (so far so good). What I really like about them is the weight - they're super light, which was why I bought 'em. Since I'm a sub-hack, I'll never take my drumkit out of our music room, and hitting the skins with a telephone pole will only damage my drum heads, (my) ears, and relationships with my (very patient, possibly deaf) family. The finish is quite slick, which is bad for me, as I'm a stick-pitcher on a good day, but about 4 inches of adhesive bandage (a whole roll for $1.50 from sprwlmrt) tightly wrapped around the bottom 5 inches of stick made these just about perfect. Perhaps the Rolling Stones will drive by my house someday, hear my hacked versions of their tunes and demand that I jam with them at the next Superbowl, at which point I'll invest in "real" sticks, but until then, these seem to be working well enough. Oh, and there's a ton of 'em, so if you happen to pitch a stick and impale someone in your imaginary audience, you'll have 23 left to finish your set. ... show more

I bought theses for the price and you get what you pay for -if you hit yr drums easy then these might work for you -I play a lot of rock and hit pretty hard- ive had theses sticks for about 2 weeks -the nylon tips keep popping off and I’ve broken 3 sticks already ( luckily I get 12prs in the bundle) i bought a 3pr pack of Vic firth a sticks and got over a year out of them -so my next purchase will be the Vic Firth sticks ... show more

  • Nice 5B Drumsticks
Size: On Stage Maple 5B Nylon Drumsticks 12 Pairs
These On Stage 5B drumsticks have good balance, good weight, and a nice finish. Compared to my last set of drumsticks they are made from a much more dense maple which helps with repeated rimshots. My last set would split and crack, these only exhibit the smallest of dings on the wood but remain nice and tight. I don't know about all of the reviews saying the tips pop off, but, because of those reviews I also purchased a bunch of super glue. I have not needed to use any of it because I couldn't pull the tips off to save my life. So far, with daily play, the tips are staying on and are doing just fine for me. I like the fullness of the 5B, it's great for classic rock and any heavier beats in music. They really feel rugged. Oh, and the price on their 12-pack was right too.
