Purchased this item as a backlight for my uranium glassware collection. Uranium glassware has been around for a long time now and because Uranium reacts to UV light it glows bright green under a black light like this. This device is an LED black light with 40 LED's and it stands a proud 15 inches high from the base. In my opinion this is a really nice set, both lights are bright and have a variety of uses. Compared to tube lights these are far more durable, and In my opinion much brighter and produce an ample amount of UV light for my lighting needs. I am only adding light to a small area probably about 4'X4' and in a corner so I get the reflective value of the walls, but one of these lights (positioned well) can easily light an entire 100 square foot room. When paired with the other light you can easily light larger spaces. I like that this is a set of two, I can use one in one room and one in another and if desired I can use both of them for party lights in other scenarios. Some notes: -These are not water proof or water resistant. -These do emit UV light which may be damaging to your eyes and there is no shroud or filter for the light. -The cord is relatively short and may require an extension cord to reach distances over 3ft. -This device does use a 3 prong (grounded) USA plug. -These lights are designed to stand on a surface and aren't mountable I found that the device was easy to assemble and use. Each ballast has it's own stand so each light mounts vertically to stand on a tabletop, shelf, floor, etc.. The bases mount to the bottom of the light with a screw and you are required to assemble this step which is very easy. The construction of the light is premium, the power cables are heavy duty, and the device feels rugged. These lights should sustain a certain level of abuse as I've found that they are a durable plastic. LED's sustain a lot more abuse than tubes and comparably these lights shouldn't break with bumps or drops. The item operates as expected, and I found it to be a tremendous value compared to other lights I've used like these. The fact that you get two lights in this package, instead of just one, is cause enough for me to purchase, and I think others will enjoy these lamps also. I do recommend buying this item.

I ordered the Onforu Vertical Standing Blacklight Two Pack for myself. I have a blacklight room that is well lit from the corners, but I am seeking a way to light the bookcases, (you'll see why), with something that doesn't require the footprint of a of my huge 196 LED blacklights, which produce a huge amount of heat. Additionally, I have expensive under-the-shelf blacklights under the two of the shelves in the bookcase, but I can't angle those lights the way I want. So I thought I would try these vertical bar lights to see how well they performed. They are really lightweight, they only require a 4 inch footprint, and they seem to be in line with the lighting strength of my under-the-shelf bookcase blacklights. As you can see from the picture, the top two shelves were exposed to the under-the-shelf bookcase blacklights, (one per shelf), and the the other two shelves were lit by 1 Onforu Vertical Standing Blacklight. I kept the lights on for about 10 minutes and, as the picture shows, the two bottom shelves are glowing equally bright as the two shelves with my under-the-shelf lights. I'm pretty impressed, as I have been through several sets of blacklights and was starting to think I would not be able to find what I was looking for. Plus, these are easy to move around, not too tall, and they don't get hot. For the price point, they are an excellent deal and I love them. Five stars.

I'm almost 60 and recently rediscovered black-lights, and I'm having more fun with it today at the age of 60, than I did back in the 70s and 80s playing with black-lighting (and posters) on my bedroom wall. With the invention of LEDs, it's taken the lighting to a whole new level, esp when it comes to saturation. This set of LED lights is a good medium range light set. At 15W, it's one of the lower-end wattage black-lights out there currently - although these do a fairly good job of lightening a wall tapestry, as you can see from the photo. Each of the two lights come with a heavy, weighted base, which helps keep them exactly where you place them. Each light has a power on/off switch close to the end of the cord, near where it plugs into the wall. If you want to really see UV reflective paint "POP" then you might want to go a little higher on the wattage as these do a good job, but in a more subdued way... But overall, I'm happy with these LED black-lights and would recommend them to family and friends wanting to revisit their youth, or for some other need.
