These are a must for any older family member who drops remotes. I now buy these types of silicone remote covers for all of my fathers remote controls. As he has gotten older he has a bad habit of dropping his remote controls onto the hard tile in the living room. This has caused many remotes to either crack or just totally stop working all together. So for a few bucks these can save you a lot of money in the long run. Look up the cost of a replacement remote for your current streaming device or Tv and you will understand what I mean about costs. These particular covers fit very well and love the idea of using different colors for each room in the house if you have the same devices. For example, every remote for the living room is blue and the we have red for the master bedroom. Some version even glow in the dark if your remote doesn't have any backlighting and it can help find the remote hidden in the sheets. This isn't necessary with this specific fire cube remote because it glows on its own and these vibrant colors on the silicone skin make it easy to spot. Overall an excellent buy.

I didn't get the straps with my order, didn't need them anyway. I like the extra color for my remote. It does not glow but it's nice to have a different color so it doesn't just disappear in my bedding. The silicone collects dirt and dog hair, so that can be annoying. The purple is a little too big for my remote and the buttons sink in. Overall, it's meh. I'll keep it for now but not something I'd recommend.
