I live in a 100-year-old house which I love - except in the summer! I have a set of west facing French doors in the dining room, and the sun beats in mercilessly in the afternoon. I cut the film to size for each of the 20 panes, stuck it on each one, and put the sheer curtains back on the inside of the windows. You really don't notice the film much through the sheers, and it does help to keep the room cooler in the afternoon. It was kind of a pain to cut the film, just because of the number I had to do, but I saved the backing for each piece and will try to save the film on the backing pieces to use again next summer. It was very easy to actually apply the film to the windows, and you can easily re-wet the window and reapply if you don't get it quite right the first time. Somewhere in the instructions it said to use soapy water, which I did on the first two pieces. It didn't work out very well. After that I just squeezed as much water as I could onto the cleaned window, applied the film, and used a squeegee to smooth out the bubbles. I'm very happy with his product!

The product went on very easily! But it does not give good visibility during the day, and the very small bubbles from wetting the product and window do not clear out easily. I finally used a credit card to try to pressure them to the edges, and made terrible scrapes all over the film. It is also difficult to cut with precision, and as a result, I have uneven narrow edges of light around the sides of the dark panels, which looks tacky and ameteurish. Yeh, 'm an ameteur at this. But still...

The media could not be loaded. The product definitely blocks the light out. 5/5 for that. I rated it a 4 star because the film backing is really really hard to get off (took me 15 minutes), and it's really hard to cut, even with xacto knives. It ends up ripping and tearing before it cuts. It also stretches, which makes it more difficult. I ended up cutting a piece of cardboard to size and placing it over the film to cut it. Just a tip for installing: it's easier if you get the top completely straight and on and then work from the top down.

Used this great product to cover a bathroom window! The light can still come in clearly but the pattern of the screen shields the view! House next door windows could look into this bath easily and have been using blinds. This is 100% better as light still enters room.

We used this for our skinny windows in our entry way. We realized that the brick pattern was smaller than pictured, but this was a happy surprise in our case due to our windows being 5 -6 inches wide. Does not come with a squeegee as stated to use in packaging. Due to the size difference from picture and squeegee missing I will give 4 stars. ***Use a lot of water***
