Let me start off by saying I’ve never tinted anything in my life! This stuff is so easy. Has a peel off backing that is sticky, helps the tint stay up as you work down. I got a spray bottle of soapy water, scissors, a razor blade, my drivers license (to smooth it), and there I went. Was so much easier than I ever imagined. It’s not completely blacked out. You can see through both ways you look if you are up close. I wouldn’t recommend for privacy, like a bathroom. But all in all, it turned out great. Photos look blue from lighting, but is not blue.

Actually 4.5 stars… I live in a high heat area that has a west facing full glass patio door. The patio door covers an entry door with an electronic lock keypad that gets so hot, that it’s regularly draining the batteries in the lock. This product (no idea how it works) was a little tricky putting up, you’re going to need a lots of soapy water, sharp knife, some sort of straight edge like a ruler (they sell a kit for this) and patience, I was close but there’s a small mistake that I can live with. It was a dramatic difference, cut the light and heat intensity as advertised, it was noticeably cooler and the light reduction was spot on, perfect balance. However, remember it does make it extremely difficult to see in during the day, at night the opposite is true. I’m no pro but I definitely recommend this product.

Ok I gave it 110%....I really wanted this to work. Help reduce the southern sun exposure in the house and help with the electric bill. However you really need about 4 people if you your doing anything of size. I was trying front glass on my storm door first. Yes use plenty of soup. however you can get this stuff to stay even after the soup has dried. It just peels right off. It would not stay on. I bought a large roll hoping to get the living room windows done as well. After about 8 hours of messing with this stuff. It would not stay on it just would start peeling back. Did I mention that you need the patience on a monk. This stuff is hard to get to stay in place. It is hard to cut. It does not stay after the soap dries. I wasted $$ on this. Better off to just but new tinted glass and blinds than waste your time with this. Best of luck if you go down this route. The film you have to remove is difficult to get started. it takes at least one person better off two people holding it in place. Then two people to peel it off and installing to the glass. All mine ended up in the trash can.

Ordered 8 only gat 7 in the package. Like the product but not happy about being shorted. I bought one to try. We were happy with the product so ordered enough for our house and parents house. Now we don't have enough to do this project. Please send our 8th roll we ordered.

I had no issues putting the window tint up. Make sure your windows are clean then spray them with the soapy water. A lot of soapy water. Use a squeegee to smooth it out and you are good to go. I recommend cutting to size before you put on the window instead of cutting excess off after it’s on the window. The difference in temperature in my house is noticeable cooler.

We got it up on our picture window. I don't like it. You can see the seam because if your window is more than 17 in wide you have to use more because the roll is only 17 in wide. It's streaked and I can't get the streaks to go away. Whoever thought of using soap wasn't very bright. I ended up taking it out of the picture window and had to throw those two pieces away. I use the rest to put in the top part of my dining room windows because they were 17 in and I used window cleaner instead of soap and it worked good and I did not remove the film from the inside. It looks much better and didn't streak. I wouldn't buy this product again.
