The stand seems sturdy and would be great if it worked. Secondary boom connection is a female thread but it is too large to fit the male end on the main boom arm. It will slide over the male threads but needs to screw on to securely hold the mic down to the speaker. The other issue is the locking mechanism on the boom does not tighten securely and the boom can't lock in-place. I want to love this combo amp stand and mic but if the manufacturer can't replace the parts, I will have to send it back. ... show more

Works good, mic boom has a little play in it but it stays where you set it. Legs are adjustable to attain the angle you want, and they stay locked. 70lb amp on my stand and the adjustable legs have stayed where I set them. The arms holding the amp could be a little longer to add piece of mind, but if you set the angle right you’ll be fine. Great if you’re gonna mic your amp with a 57, one less piece of equipment on the floor. ... show more

This is a very nice stand. Folds up when not needed with a low profile. I’ll use this at home which I’m sure I’ll get years of use. While it’s nice I’m not sure how rugged it would be on the road but the price is low so if it wears out in a couple years, you couple buy another.
