  • Cream of the crop.
Color: Black
This is the industry standard mic stand. I play shows almost every night, and can say that these hold up. It's not the MOST heavy duty stand I've ever used, which is why I give it four stars. I've had one or two stands before that were just a little heavier and sturdier. But still, with what's out there right now, it's almost impossible to beat this stand. ... show more

  • Very stable.

Tried a cheaper one but had to send it back. Ordered this one and I like it.

  • Sturdy, well built
Color: Black
After using my last Tama stand for, oh, 30 years or so, it was time to get a new one. This one is solid, well-made, and easy to use to configure for different uses.

  • Heavy Duty
Color: Black
This mic stand is by far the best I've used. Sturdy beyond belief. When put in place it stays put... Period Might be too heavy for some, but adds to the sturdiness I'm sure...

  • Go for a better quality one if you have a heavy microphone and shockmount setup if you have the budget.
Color: Black
I gave this a 4 out of five because this doesn't quite work for my setup. I am a Let's Play commentator and the arm isn't quite strong enough to hold an Audio Technica AT-2020 and a Samson SPO1 Spider5 Shockmount at full extension with the built in counterweight. It starts to slowly drop even when seemingly over tightened (so much so that I don't want to try to tighten it more out of fear of stripping the threads) at full extension. So not super impressed but I have made it work. I haven't tried this yet but I am pretty sure I could not have it drop at full extension if I add some more counterweight in the form of some sand or dirt in a jug attached the opposite end, haven't tried it yet though. ... show more

  • Great solid mic stand
Color: Black
Great solid mic stand. I researched a variety of mic stands in this price range and decided to go with the 'MS9701TBPLUS Platinum Series Tele-Boom Microphone Stand'. It was a little tricky to make sure I ordered the correct one, being that the model numbers are very similar to one another. So far this stand has worked out great. It has good weight to it so that it plants itself nicely on the floor with no worries of it tipping over even with some of my heavier condenser mics that I use. The telescopic boom portion is great and allows me to set this up any way I want. While I didn't measure it's maximum height, I'm guessing that it's close to seven feet tall when fully extended allowing you to place a mic overhead. Or, you can set it low so that the mic is three to four feet or lower from the floor. I will buy another one of these if needed. ... show more

  • Solid and weighted to prevent tip overs
Color: Black
Purchased this for marching band solos. Didn’t want a light weight stand. This one is heavy and solid, perfect!

  • I really like it!
Color: Black
I've been in bands for the past 20 years and have always relied on the cheap $20 stands that strip out and break. Ive been using a talk box and have the boom stretched over my guitar pedal board so the stand either starts to droop or just wants to lean and tip into me. Not any more! The new stand is wicked heavy, the clutch is all metal, and its rugged enough that I can now attach a side adapter bracket for my tablet so I don't have to bring a music stand to gigs. It's totally worth the $50 to have a heavy duty mic stand that I know will last. I really like it! ... show more
