  • Your search for a mic stand ends here
Color: Black
The one I got was used and showed obvious signs of use. I will not ding the product for that. The seller is solely responsible there. I kept it and used it as it was, not wanting to deal with returning it and needing it. I am using a Blue Snowball mic. This is VERY HEAVY, but the stand holds up like a champ. I have tightened and loosened the boom and angle adjustments many times. Nothing has fallen apart, nothing has failed, and even with the boom mostly extended, the mic stays in place. Also the feet are very stable and I have never had an issue with the mic tipping over or being unbalanced. This is a very heavy mic stand. These main things, staying power of the adjustment, strength of the hardware, and stability seemed to be the main concerns of most mic shoppers when I was shopping around. This mic meets and, in my opinion, exceeds all expected standards. It should work well as a mic you take with you on a gig, throw in the back and use roughly. However as I have not used it roughly, but mindfully, I can not comment on its ruggedness. ... show more

  • Price Performance
Color: Black
About to buy my 3rd and 4th one of these so thought I'd write a quick review. These are the best $50 boom stands I've found; the counterweight is reasonable, the stand is sturdy and durable, and the thread assembly doesn't seem prone to breaking loose and spinning like on some of the other brands I've tried. $50? Shut up and take my money. ... show more

  • You get what you pay for.
Color: Black
This is not the cheapest mic stand OnStage makes but you can't beat the quality. This stand is balanced nice, doesn't tip over easily and is heavy duty. I tried using some of the budget stands but they would constantly break, get bent or wear out and they do not travel well. This is pro gear for pro musicians. ... show more

  • Solid, heavy stand
Color: Black
Bought these to upgrade from their cheaper version when I had a ribbon mic tip over and almost crash to the ground. Definitely a heavier base, and without paying $200 for a mic stand, it’s a nice upgrade. I would consider this a solid, entry-level stand and wouldn’t purchase anything less than this for safety of mics. ... show more

  • Stop wasting money on cheaper stands
Color: Black
I tried some cheaper stands and inevitably the plastic joints and clamps wear out at some point. I wish I had just started with this one. It's worth the money. It has metal everywhere you need it and it just works.

  • Boom slips
Color: Black
I bought this mic stand to hold a neumann tlm 103 thinking it would hold. But no matter how tight I make it it still slips over time. One solution is I will have to buy a 3 or 6 lb counterweight to put on the other end. But that shouldn't be necessary. Because it fails to hold up the microphone it gets 1 star. It had one job to do and it fails miserably. ... show more

  • Really awesome, actually what I needed after searching for weeks.
Color: Black
This is a no bulls*** review because I've been pretty disappointed in amazons reviews lately. I was looking for a mic stand that I could use to hold a small condenser over my drums for youtube videos..and I needed the stand to be tall enough so that it wouldn't be in the video shot from the front. I tried at least 3 different stands before this one, with customer reviews AND answers to my questions claiming it would be tall enough and I was disappointed every time and pissed off to say the least because I just needed 1 good stand. I haven't measured it but if I had to guess I would have to say it's around 7..MAYBE 7.5 feet tall. I am 5'7" and most of the stands I bought previous to this all came up to my nose FULLY EXTENDED. Also I have a slight angle in the boom (it is not fully straight up pointing at the ceiling) so this will most likely meet your height needs. It's VERY heavy duty..probably double the weight of the old stand I found in my garage that's also made by On Stage..so if weight is an easy maybe you're better off looking elsewhere. I like the fact that this also has a counter weight..that might be helpful in the future. But I was kind of anticipating this not being tall enough and so I was looking at the K&M 21021 but NOPE :) No need to spend 130$ on a professional stand. ... show more

  • The Stand
Color: Black
These are GREAT stands. Very sturdy and made well. I use a two-mic clip and my old stand would want to tip over due to the weight. My wife made a nice weighted bag that fit over the legs to prevent it from tipping and that worked well, but these stands hold the weight easily, even when fully extended. I'm way more impressed with these than I thought I would ever be with a stand. ... show more
