I have owned many On-Stage mic stands in my lifetime — their products are solid and last a long time. I was needing a stand for a video pod cast I am doing and all of the regular sized stands were in-shot — I needed a stand that was closer to the ground to avoid it being included in the camera. This stand fits perfectly... it's strong and stable enough to hold a heavier pro-level mic, and stays completely out of the shot. If I were needing to mic a guitar amp or drums, this stand would be perfect for that application as well. Great value for the price!

Very solidly built stand. I use this with a Scarlett solo microphone, mainly to transmit guitar over video conferencing software. The stable base and heighr adjustability comes in very handy as it can be positioned at just the right height as needed Good quality material, fit and finish. The various adjustment knows all hold their respective rods in place and tight. The cord clip is a good design detail. Note that the screw mount is a 5/8 inch. So if you are like me and had an existing 3/8 inch mic holder that you need to use, then you also need an adapter such as the one in the picture I shared (and here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HUN3FRY?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share)

On-Stage products are top notch, and this mic stand is no different. I use it to hold a Shure SM57 mic in front of my guitar amp when playing out. The stand is highly adjustable and sturdy. I could see it being used for amp mics or for kick drum mics. 🤘

Amazing value, decent quality. I use this with relatively light mics only a few times per week, on guitar cabinets. At this price point, this stand meets my needs. It looks good and seems relatively well made and finished. The main clutch requires a fair amount of tightening to keep the boom arm from sagging, but I can make it work with minimal fuss. All of this said, if your application is more frequent or with heavier mics, you may wish to get a stand with more substantial clutch hardware. But the move up to a better quality one more than doubles the price over this one.

Mechanism that tightens the telescoping portion of the boom won't tighten sufficiently to keep it in place. If your mic has any weight to it at all, it will rotate with gravity. Disappointing because I needed this item to work. That being said, the same company makes another version with just a straight boom (non-telescoping) and it is a quality piece. Buy that one instead unless you absolutely need a telescoping boom, in which case I would recommend buying a better quality more expensive stand..

Great little stand. I bought two of them. One to use to mic a guitar amp and another to hold a spot monitor. Both are working well for those purposes. They are sturdy, easy to set up and fold up nicely.
