I recommend applying it in a well-ventilated area and wearing a mask, because the spray looks like foam but dries and turns into dust when it comes into contact with the air. You should let it dry thoroughly before engraving.

We used this to aid in laser etching glass with a bambu 40w laser. It worked very well. It is super easy to apply, super easy to remove and left a nice frosted white finish on glass. We haven't tried it on metal yet, but will soon. The only complaint I have is that it is 40 bucks a can, but other than that it is awesome. Goes on nice and smooth, dries quickly, works well and rinses right off. Great product.

I tried this with a diode laser engraver (XTool M1 10W) and brushed stainless steel. Very satisfied with the results - the coating left on the stainless is hard and dark. It appears to be durable to normal handling. I've tried limited tests to see if it would scrape off or flake off, and it appears to be firmly adhered. I had to be careful handling the pieces before laser engraving. This spray doesn't adhere like paint, but more like a powder. It doesn't take much of a touch to disturb it. But it washes off with water, so all I did was clean up the disturbed pieces, recoat them, and handle more carefully. I had much better results with this OMTech product than with a CerMark spray, and the OMTech is certainly more affordable by volume. My next test will be trying to mark brass with OMTech and a CO2 laser. Neither spray works with the diode laser on brass.

Laser marking on metal for hobby lasers that are not powerful enough to cut into the metal is a great workaround. You should test before setting the speed/intensity to avoid ruining your project. Ask me how I know. Works well once you have done your research. Durable finish

So I found the delivery to be surprising since I anticipated this to be some kind of clear spray. It is actually more of a powder residue that is lightly adhered to stainless steel and probably other surfaces. When I used my LaserPecker 4, I found the results to be much better then I achieved without it. The darker photograph is with the spray, and the lighter result is without the laser marking spray. Great results!
