  • All around great camera
Color: Silver Set: Body with 12-45 Kit
In this price range there is a fair amount of competition, so it comes down to features. After comparing Nikon, Sony Panasonic, Canon and Fujifilm, the OM-5 Mark II hit all my boxes. In this semi-professional class you won't find a bad camera. Why I selected the OM-5 was because of the following features: Light weight, compact size and weather resistant. Quick shutter speed, good battery life, focus bracketing and focus stacking. Specific setting for night photography including night vision. It also included a updated menu system similar to Canon's and a descent set of programable buttons. The image stabilizer is built into the body, not the lens. It's 5-axis in-body image stabilization (IBIS) that offers up to 6.5 steps of compensation, or up to 7.5 steps when paired with compatible Sync IS lenses. This is not the complete set of features and and I'm not saying that many of the other cameras don't have similar features. I am saying this camera filled my requirements. After putting it through it's paces I am confident in my selection. The F4.0 12-45mm kit lens option is a perfect combination for my use. It has worked well for night, astrophotography, macro and small product studio shoots without having to go out and buy 2 or 3 more lenses. (at least for now). ... show more

  • Great quality and value
Color: Sand Beige Set: Camera Body
Just a great balance of quality and price. The size is amazing and the lens options are great. Moved through a full DSLR for travel and never regretted.

  • Best travel camera money can buy!
Color: Black Set: Body with 14-150 Kit
This is perhaps the best travel camera you can buy. We purchased it for our trip to Egypt and it performed flawlessly! The size and weight make it perfect to carry all day and get great photos. Don't believe the Micro Four Thirds haters - you can get excellent photos using this system. The battery is a bit small, so you will definitely want to purchase a second battery to get you through a full day of shooting, but that is the only downside I see to this camera. Simply put, if you want professional grade photos but don't want to lug around a bulky professional camera system, this is the camera for you! ... show more

  • An old (though still good) camera with very small improvements
Color: Black Set: Camera Body
I mean look: this is essentially the E-M5 III with a USB-C port and a new menu system. This is a camera from 2019 with two new features. And it's a good camera! But the grip is still too small, just as it was in 2019. I'd say this is a great beginners camera because it just takes good pictures without much fuss. But seriously, you should just get a used E-M5 II or III, and use the considerable monetary savings to buy some nice lens(es). ... show more

  • Amazing camera and system
Color: Silver Set: Body with 12-45 Kit
I’ve got a bunch of nice camera gear, typically being a full frame snob. But this little camera is a real power house! They’ve done amazing things in software to compensate for the micro 4/3 sensor and I’m impressed. And that’s not accounting for the small rugged water resistant nature so I feel protected using it outdoors. ... show more

  • OM-5 Mark II
Color: Sand Beige Set: Camera Body
The OM-5 Mark I is a great camera. The OM-5 Mark II is a better one. The Sand Beige is a nice color choice. A few of the upgrades include USB-C charging port, the new menu is the same as the OM-1 and MO-3, beefer grip, and night vision. If you want a small lightweight camera look no further than the OM-5 Mark II. ... show more

  • DO NOT BUY, OM NEEDS TO FADE AWAY
Color: Sand Beige Set: Camera Body
Bad image quality, impossibly bad video quality, terrible onboard mics/audio. Extremely dated "art filters" that they haven't improved since forever. Logic flaws in usage. Wildly expensive. Other brands first generation mirrorless cameras are lightyears ahead of this recent om system offering. What the heck are they doing over there?? For real, any intern software engineer could make the video quality 10x better with a few days on it. They must literally be doing zero engineering work over there...just piecing together new cameras from "parts left on the shelf" from Olympus. Absolute turd nugget of a camera. I could produce a better camera myself (yes, i'm an engineer) with a raspberry pi and a modern smartphone sensor/lens unit. ... show more
