My absolute favorite rechargeable batteries, powered flashlight models I buy, I am a pest technician so I need a flashlight with me at all times having a flashlight pouch on my Pest control belt. It’s always Held one of these flashlights in it because it is light weight recharges quickly and bright as can be as long as the battery is still good. NOTE YOUR FLASHLIGHT IS ONLY AS GOOD AS YOUR BATTERY THAT POWERS IT So expect to replace the battery every year or two depending how often you use it. I recommend you get a real battery charger that will charge it from the wall. They are only about 10 bucks and charge the battery completely unlike the magnetic one which is great for on the go in a car. But if you keep reading, you won’t need that. The new features I love is the ability charge with a USB-C cable instead of just magnet charging, which is the least efficient way to charge, I also love the new feature that enables you to see the battery life left, being able to set the brightness from Little light to very light in five different stages is nice to have but the turbo mode is my go to mode when looking in attics and crawlspace. Is it just lights up the entire area, but thankfully, I wear gloves because this thing gets piping hot on turbo mode after about five minutes, I usually keep it on the brightest mode before turbo and it will last me all day without charging. I would say I use it on average 2 hours a day 20 minutes turbo. They keep coming out with better and better models This new one has finally made it where you can turn on the light by pressing the handle where it attaches to the magnetic charger. So if you just want it on for a quick second, that was definitely a clutch add-on. Because sometimes I only need the light on for a few seconds and when wearing work, gloves can be hard to press the little button on the side. Overall, I have tried out, probably five different flashlight companies for the purpose. I need a flashlight and this one is the best. I know it’s a lot of money for a flashlight, but if you need one daily, this is the one to get being small compact, but powerful and rechargeable at the same time is a hard combo to find with good quality. ... show more

Ive had the light about 3weeks now. It is used in field heavy equipment repair. Its performed flawlessly so far. It is nice and bright. I carry it in my top left uniform pocket. Carries pretty well considering its a little shorter a little heavier and a little fatter than my previous light. I love the new tailcap button feature. You can click it quick and the light stays on but... if you hold your thumb on it it turns off when you release it. Love that. Ive only charged it the one time I pulled it out the box. Battery life seems good. Overall it seems to be a tough little guy and is definitely brighter than its size suggests. This is my 4th olight product and so far am most satisfied with this one. I'd say if you're on the fence especially if you're gonna use it for work in a harsher environment, go on and get it. I use it frequently during the day looking under engine hoods or in dark spots in machinery hunting hydraulic leaks etc and even with the midday sun behind me it has no problem lighting up whatever I need it to. Olight does it again! Just received my new Baton Ultra yesterday 4-27-26. Looks like it is also very new on the market with it's debut on 4-20-26. Olight is definitely not a status que company. They are always rising to the next level of technology in flashlights! This new Baton Ultra is an example of that technology. The grip on the tube is the best I've ever seen. The hidden USB port in the tail is awesome. No more flimsy rubber covers! The lockout mode. The brightness level and battery indicators. The moonlight mode. The 2 ways of charging. The removable 18650 battery. And then we have Olight's proprietary OAL aluminum finish. Apparently this finish was introduced sometime in 2024. When I first read about it, I thought it might be just a marketing gimmick. However, having now owned an Olight mini since January, I am now a believer in the technology. Any other flashlight I have owned especially with a black finish has, in a short time, shown nicks and scratches revealing the "silver" color of the aluminum underneath. The OAL finish appears unfazed and new despite being in my pocket daily with other metal objects, keys, coins etc! So, bottom line, couldn't be more recommended! . ... show more

Overall, I'm really impressed with this light. The milling on the OAL Alumium is precise. The tint, though not high CRI is a clean cool white with no green. Both the brightness and the throw are impressive! I really appreciate the addition of type C charging without losing the magnetic charging option. It's compact enough for EDC. The true moonlight mode (<1 lumen) is a must have in an EDC light, and with a rear e-switch, so is an easy to use lockout mode. There have been complaints about the lense up clip placement, but frankly it doesn't bother my. My only minor gripe is that I expected the OAL to be a little more impervious to every day life; I didn't even drop the light or remember banging into anything and I already have a chip on the bezel. Oh well, now I won't be afraid to be a little rougher with it. ... show more

The baton has a strong tactile feel that ensures good grip. The baton itself is light weight but it has some good heft. The battery charging is super simple and innovative. The magnet clicks on the bottom, the light indicates red if charging and green when done. The button has a display for the charge, and what level of light is triggered. You double tap it and it goes full brightness. It retains your last selected brightness except for the brightest setting. So you can set it and then every time you click it on it will be on that setting. I love the back button for when you need a quick light. The double clip allows you to put it in just about any orientation. This was a great buy for my EDC. I feel like a Jedi. ... show more

Very nice flashlight, feels solid in the hand. Very bright for its size. The sides are very ridged so there may be potential for wearing out the pocket you carry it in, but it gives it a nice grip to hold onto, especially if it gets wet. The battery lasts a very long time.

I upgraded from the Baton 3 Pro and this is noticably brighter and more concentrated. It has a nice focus center light with plenty of fill light. The tail push button is nice but you cannot activate the stobe from it, that is the only change I would make. Great charging options and the 1 lumen option is a comfort, in the rare event you ever find yourself with out electircity for extended periods of time with a constant runtime of 100 days. ... show more
