Lemme get to the point. This watch is simple and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The black is simple enough to fit with any outfit casual and formal. Does it tell time? Also yes. Let’s But let’s be real in the digital age we have our phones for that. Buuut if you wanna be old fashioned. Who am I to stop you? Nobodyyy. In terms of repelling water and still working? The stylish, smooth low profile of this watch is just what I was looking for. I ordered this for my husband whose old watch had a very thick profile and the metal was terribly pitted causing his shirt cuff to fray. The price was great and it looks great! It would have arrived in a timely way if it wasn't for the big snow storm that held up mail delivery for a week. So far it is working perfectly. I'm one of those weird people who reads instructions just in case, even though I can usually figure out what to do on my own. So I tried to read them, but they were in such fine print that I needed to use a magnifying glass to help me read them and my eyes aren't that bad. They were also a little confusing. I like watches and have about 20 in my "collection". Some I have paid as much as $400 for. After just "working" reliably, I am primarily interested in "looks". I think this watch is gorgeous. I have worn it continuously for several months now. I love how thin it is. It is keeping time well. No signs of wear. And, less than $30!. From many years of experience, I am still puzzled how "they" can make a watch for $30 that seems to be, in every way, just as good as a $400 watch. I immediately threw away the "leather" band and purchased a black mesh band - slipped on very easily (22mm, I think). I paid almost as much for the band as I did for the watch! I love mesh bands because they are attractive, continuously adjustable, sturdy, and easy to put on and remove. ... show more

...apparently whoever picks the bands for this watch has the same color-blindness as our liar-in-chief, Mr. Oompa Loompa. The 'brown' watchband is, what I would conservatively call, "pumpkin orange". No matter, I decided to upgrade the band anyway, paired with a beautiful Stainless Steel black 'Milanese Mesh' band! Less than $60 for both combined equals a package that I have been told looks like 10x that. Also note that the ultra-this 6.5 mm is only around the outer rim, it is twice that in the middle. But the illusion works. For the price, it has kept impeccable time and sparkles like a watch in the four figure range. I am going to grab a few more as gifts before they figure it out and increase the price! HONEST REVIEW. Get one. I was impressed. Just plan on replacing the cheap band. ... show more
