I have quite a few watches - some inexpensive and some very costly. No matter the price they all have good and bad qualities. This OLEVS mens watch is a nice edition to my collection, especially at $36. The watch uses quartz movement and is nicely sized for a medium to small wrist. It has a leather band with a reptilian style embossing. The watch face is a rich blue color with silver hour markings and silver hands making for easy reading. There is also a date window at the 3 o'clock position. The only negative I have about the watch is the date/time setting pin. The pin actually has three positions - run, date set, time set. The problem is the 2nd position in that it is difficult to locate. You pull the pin and you’re at position 3, push and you’re back at 1. You have to play around with it, instead of feeling it click into place. Overall, 4 stars. ... show more

OLEVS has been making watches for a while now, all with varying prices and styles, and this one is really their bread and butter. A casual, but beautiful dress watch that strikes the perfect balance between "I'm going out tonight" and "I'll wear this one to work today." The watch itself is perfect, and by that I mean the design and function work exactly as they should. It keeps time perfectly, the date function works perfectly, it just..works how it should, just like all of their other watches. Passed the "splash" test with flying colors. I can wash dishes with it, wash my hands, and have no problems. No water made it past the crown, but keep in mind, the leather (not genuine leather) strap does hold moisture, so that may uncomfortable for you. I have large wrists, 9 3/4 inches, so the strap wouldn't fit me. I was able to swap it for a 20mm NATO style strap, though, also black leather. It works great, and looks gorgeous. Date rolls over properly at midnight, no getting stuck halfway between dates or anything like some other watches. In the era of smart watches and everything being rechargeable, this is a great alternative to just cut out some of the noise of modern life. 30M waterproof watch? I don't think so. I've been using this watch for 2 months and I've noticed on three occasions where the inside of the watch has moisture around it. I noticed it again today and this time the moisture isn't going away. Very disappointing! I do like the blue color and the brown leather strap though. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I've worn this watch for about a week now and I have to say it's just fantastic. I have a couple of bigger sports-type watches, including one pretty expensive one. But I wanted one that was both slim enough to fit easily under long sleeves, AND looks nice. This, to me, looks like a "dress watch." As you can see in the video it's really very nice-looking. The face is very easy to read (unlike, really, those other watches with so much going on with the face), it's just very straightforward. The second hand ticks, as opposed to sweeps, and can only be heard if you hold it up to your ear. The calendar date is handy, the leather band looks sharp, and I like the double loops to hold the end of the strap. And maybe best of all is that it has my very favorite power - it winds itself with movement. No battery, no winding, just wear it and it'll keep itself running. (I DO have a watch winder that I keep it in when I'm not wearing it. But it winds quickly with some movement if you let it run down. And yes, I tested it.) Very easy to set the time and date, instructions are included if you need them. This is a very nice watch that belies the very affordable price. I'm very happy to have it. ... show more

I love the retro styling here and the easy to read face. In a world of complicated smart watches if all you need is a classic timepiece then this is what you should choose. Setting the initial time can be a bit fiddly but this only needs to be done once in a long while. It looks good with formal and casual clothing. Make sure it will fit your wrist before ordering especially if you have big wrists. ... show more

The deep blue sunburst dial looks elegant and pairs nicely with the polished silver case. The slim profile and black leather strap make it a great choice for formal wear. Keeps accurate time, though the strap feels a bit stiff initially. Simple, stylish, and refined.

I'm really loving this brand as they stay with the tried and true design elements and produce a quality watch at a great price. Rather than collecting watches, I like to wear them and this minimalist design is going to find its way into frequent rotation. A simple, all-black dial with Roman numerals at 12 and 6 offset by an unobtrusive date window, this timepiece tells you the time/date and nothing more which is often just what I need. The leather band feels good, though I find myself using the very last hole on the strap as if this was meant for men with bigger wrists? The reptile design embossing looks great against the black of the band and perfectly sets off the chrome of the unadorned bezel.
