bought this as a beater-watch. one to wear in situations where i don't want to risk damaging one of my more expensive pieces, and i'm very pleased with the quality on offer at the price. the movement's nothing special, they say it's a japanese quarts, so probably a Miyota, which is a decently reliable movement that keeps time well. construction quality on the housing is good, though given the movement inside it could be a little thinner. the glass is fine, can't expect any better than what you're getting at this price. the design is obviously derivative, but has a nice, classic look. the strap so far seems to be quite good, soft, supple and pliable out of the box. no softening needed. time will tell how durable it is, though the lugs might break first. the only real complaint i have is that the days need to be set every day, as it rotates between chinese and latin script. though that can be ignored if you just don't care that your watch says "saturday" in chinese on what might be a thursday. not the best purchase in the world, but at $22 this is a 5-star watch. ... show more

I bought this watch over half a year ago. The watch is in good condition still and I'm very pleased with the look. It looks more valuable than it costs. The band appears to be leather, but it's hard to tell now a day. It is stitched well and is very sturdy. I've accidentally dropped the watch a couple of times and to my delight it caused no damage; not even scratches. The only drawback is that it's a little complicated when trying to change the date or day of the week. It's hard to feel the right position to change them instead of the time. Other than that, I did have to change the battery one, but no big deal. Bottom line - I believe you'll be pleased with the purchase. Hope this helps you. ... show more

This is a handsome watch but, my bad, the watch is smaller than I thought. But it runs great and I love the leather strap - nice quality. My one complaint is it has a luminous dial but even after putting it next to a lamp bulb I still have trouble seeing the time in the dark.

Bought this watch twice. Both times it only lasted less than 6 months and stopped working. Too bad since it was a nice looking watch.

I intended on ordering this watch next year, actually, but I changed my mind at nearly the last minute. And I'm so glad that I did! Up until this point, I'd been buying and wearing watches of much cheaper design and lesser quality, but this one possesses a certain elegance about it, not to mention its perfect timekeeping and something I've found to be rare - the day/date combination on the watch face. My students continue to compliment me on it and one or two have asked me for the link to purchase one themselves. I especially love the leather strap, which is more comfortable than metallic straps. I've even accidentally fallen asleep in bed wearing this watch, something impossible for me before as I don't like sleeping wearing anything but also clothing. This gift is perfect for a guy in your life who likes to be classy but not too flashy. This was purchased for my sisters boyfriend, he really like the gift, only the band was a little flimsy, but worth the money for the quality.

I've had it for over 2 months, and it continues to work well, and it looks great. For the price, it is an excellent watch. The only slight comment is that adjusting the day, and date are a little complicated. It takes a little getting used to, but it is not too difficult.
