Great trolling reel, direct drive line counter, on/off clicker, selectable thumb release with on off switch, just press thumb button to release line, lift thumb to stop line release, no need to crank handle to stop freewheeling spool. Or switch to off to go back to traditional spool function. Good drag for walleyes. Like the low profile reel feels great in hand. Good oversized reel handles. Easily change out extra spools. Reasonably priced from okuma USA, be aware two different spools same model. Must be result of mid production design change. Look the same one fits the other doesn't. I purchased this reel for a Kokanee rod I built. I already own 4 Daiwa Lexa reels of which I have no complaints but was trying to save money. The size and function is very similar to the Lexa 100's, the clicker is easier to switch on and off (although I never use it) and it has a switchable feature that allows you to momentarily release the spool with the thumb button where it will re engage without having to turn the crank. I have not used it yet by habit but this might be useful when lowering downrigger cannon ball depth. Overall, 100% satisfied at a lower price. ... show more

I was pleasantly surprised how smooth this reel is. It reels like a dream, and I have yet to have an issue with the drag changing on its own. When setting the drag, you can feel the clicking and tell as it is getting tighter (much more so on other reels). The only criticism I have is that changing the line counter is too easy as the button is very sensitive and if barely bumped changes the number. ... show more

this reel has been a game changer in my walleye trolling. Great value for the money love the features on it especially the line dropper and line counter. Drag was pretty good had to adjust for some fish but worked great! super happy with it might get another for another 2nd setup
