Description

Okuma's baitfeeding system allows anglers to disengage their spinning reel spool and allow their bait to run freely. The baitfeeding system incorporates a secondary micro-adjustable drag system at the rear of the reel that allows for precise adjustment of the spool for bait control. In order to disengage this system simply turn the handle. The On/Off lever on the rear of the reel will automatically disengage the baitfeeding system so you can fight your fish with the main drag system.

Pattern Name: Avenger Style: Abf-4000: 230yds-10lb
Great reel so far! Love the baitfeeder setup and although the clicker is pretty quiet, it's not hard to hear close-by. Very smooth reeling and casting with strong anti-reverse, not too heavy, no complaints!

    • Exceeded Expectations
Pattern Name: Avenger Style: Abf-4000: 230yds-10lb
I've been extremely impressed with this Okuma Avenger ABF Baitfeeder Reel. The baitfeeder system works smoothly and makes it easy to fish live bait without worrying about a fish taking off before I'm ready. The drag is consistent, the reel feels solid, and it casts very well. I've used it in saltwater conditions and it's performed flawlessly so far. For the price, the quality and features are hard to beat. This reel offers excellent value and has quickly become one of my favorites. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a dependable bait reel. ... show more

Pattern Name: Avenger Style: Abf-4000: 230yds-10lb
I'm a Surf and Bank Saltwater Fishing Guide. So my equipment gets used a lot ! I been using Okuma Reels for over 12 years now, with Zero issues. I'm still using those same reels I bought over 12 yrs ago. I now only use Okuma bait feeders on my Saltwater outfits. These reels are solid and very smooth. I have tried some others like Penn, Shimano etc...The Okuma's have out performed and out lasted all of them and they cost about half the price ! ... show more

Review Image by Nicholas A. Cross
Over all very satisfied with the purchase Reel feels good and balance well with the correct rod. The only issue is the max drag even though very smooth is only 12-14 lbs for the size of the reel I would have expected a little more stopping power But again over all great deal and reel first fish on the live line bait runner was a 28.25” 7lb 11 oz brown trout ... show more

    • Good baitrunner for wipers
Pattern Name: Avenger Style: Abf-4000: 230yds-10lb
Caught 8 to 12lb wipers on it with no problems, have not used it on cats or anything over 15lbs. It's plastic so not as right but inexpensive and works great as a bait runner for big wipers.

    • Smooth reel just don’t touch the runner drag
Pattern Name: Avenger Style: Abf-4000: 230yds-10lb
I guess I tightened the drag to much with my hand for the bait runner and it is made of plastic and completely fell apart went to set the hook and it was quite comical pieces falling out the bottom of the real had to hand reel in the fish kind of funny
