This is a great book. I love painting with directions from William Alexander. I also have the video and I had guests come and visit and they each painted a canvas using this book and parts of the video. A great help for painting trees. You will be able to finish a landscape easily with this book.

This is one of Bill's earlier books and good for introduction. Would liked to have had a bit more writtem detail, but pictures are good and does give great ideas for coping/learning a painting. Overall - happy to have this one in my cache of "how to's "

I was looking for an introductory painting instructional book. This isn't it. The book is light on technical instruction for the beginner. I should have done more research into what I was purchasing.
