GREAT REEL FOR THE MONEY!!! Put this 3000 series on my Ultralight 4'9 rod with some 6lb braid, tied on a lipless and caught this 8.3lb Florida Fat Sally! I literally was just looking for a cheap replacement reel for the rod I keep in my car. It honestly cranks nicer than some of my $100 reels. The drag is solid not as good as its more expensive counterpart but as you can see it'll do what it's meant to do. I'm going to buy a few more of these in the 2000 & 3000 series. It does come with full schematics in English so if you break anything or would like to upgrade it, it's definitely possible, it also makes for easy servicing. Absolutely beautiful reel. 2000 series matched to my 7' Ugly Stick. The action is smooth. I'd put it up against reels 5x the price. Durability unknown but the inside gearing looks great. $15 is a steal!! Follow up......put it to the test. Took it to the beach and landed a nice 5lb bluefish on 8lb mono line. I purchased 3 reels, one 3000 size and two 2000’s. 3000 arrived 1st, the reels are a bit smaller frame than I thought so the 3000 will be preferred for my style of fishing (mainly river smallmouth bass). Quality seems to be pretty good especially for the price. Reel is pretty smooth, rotor is not counterbalanced, but there is only minimal torsion when rapidly spinning. I've used this several times for light saltwater fishing and it's doing well so far. I apply a light coating of oil to the exterior of the reel with a cloth beforehand and rinse it in cool, fresh water afterwards.

To be honest, I have only used this reel once, but I am amazed at the overall quality and smoothness of the retrieval. Buttery smooth, nice finish... could easily cost 3x the price and I would be satisfied. If the durability is anything like the initial quality, this reel can't be beat. Well worth the money.
