This is amazing for my needs. I use mainly alcohol markers and they dont pool or bleed too bad and if they do bleed they include a little film to put between the pages so you can at least save the page under it. The only downside of this sketchbook id say is the cover is grooved so stickers tend to fall off, and watercolors dont really work and destroy the page. But other than that it takes all my mediums well, I use microns, poscas, gouache, alcohol markers, pencils, and colored pencils and ive had 0 problems with them. The paper is awesome, it comes with a little pocket, ribbon, and elastic to keep it closed. High quality, and does the job, the best sketchbook ive ever had and continue to buy. ... show more

Wow, that’s all I can really say rn. I got this sketchbook to cure my art block and when I finally got it in the mail I was shocked with how heavy it was?? The paper was nice and thick but not too stiff!! And it came with a very nice marker pad to prevent bleeding onto pages.. the only downside is that I wish I ordered a bigger size!! The price is worth it! When I finish this one, I’ll be buying another in a larger size ... show more

I absolutely love this book the paper is thick enough so nothing really leaks but still not too thick! It also comes with a protective cover for the back of the paper you’re working on so you don’t bleed through two pieces or painting the edges it doesn’t destroy the other papers! I keep it close and draw in it several times a week. I don't journal, but this is like a record in sketches of how I feel from one day to the next. The binding is very sturdy, and I love that the book includes an insert to put under the page you're working on to prevent any bleed-through to the page below. UPDATE - after several colored drawing pen exercises, I should report that if you go over the same area of the paper with wet media (e.g. ink), no matter how gently you apply it, the paper will begin to crumble under your brush or pen tip. In my estimation, crayons or pencil, colored or otherwise, would be OK - as well as limiting erasures to the minimum - but when this paper gets wet, it will break down and it will bleed through, so the very sturdy sheet of protective material they provide is VERY useful. ... show more

This sketchbook is alot bigger then i thought it would be, i knew the 8.3x8.3 but its THICK. The pages are nice and i will be seeing how paint works on them, the pages are thick, though they dont hold too much texture, perfect for markets. All together, im very happy with this purchase!

I like the size of this book and that it comes with a pad for pen bleeding. Unfortunately, it’s not thick enough paper to prevent it from bleeding onto the back side of the page. I’m an artist who likes front and backs of my pages to be full for a sketch book to be complete, but that’s not possible in this book. If you’re okay with one sided page art, this book is for you! It holds a lot of ink and even holds several layers of acrylic pen before peeling up. Lays flat, which is great for a leftie, looks and feels high quality. Highly recommend. ... show more
