These 4 little tools are great for arranging your terrarium so that it's "just so". The handles are firm and you're not likely to have them slip while you're working. I really like the spade for arranging gravel into hills and other shapes. The scissors are great for doing a little pruning.     • Good tools for 10-gal or smaller aquarium
This aquarium tool set is solidly built of pretty heavy metal. I think it would take a lot of extra pressure to bend these. They are however quite a bit shorter than other aquarium tools we have used. They will be good for our 10-gallon and smaller tanks though.

Reviewing Ohtomber Aquascape Tools Aquarium Kit - 4PCS I really dislike sticking my hands in my tank. Not only do I risk contaminating my tank, but I also risk contaminating myself. With a saltwater tank, there are a lot of nasties that can sting/infect/do damage to human skin. I have thick gloves for working in my tank but they make handling delicate corals and structures difficult. These tools work great for allowing me to move things around or clean the sides of the tank without needing the gloves or worrying about getting stung because they’re long enough that I can avoid getting my hands in the water. I have nano tanks, so my tanks are not full size. With a full-size tank, you would still need to put your hands in the tank, but not as far down. These tools are almost 11” long, so they save you a good bit of distance. The tweezers are also great for feeding my Mantis, without having to worry about him getting me. As you can see in the photos, the tweezer tips come together nicely, and the end of the scissors are curved. There is a little gap in the scissors’ where the bend is, but I tested them by trimming some houseplants (nothing in the tank currently needs trimmed) and they work fine. It didn’t create a jagged edge or issue. I don’t think I would use them for coral frags though. That’s delicate work. ... show more

    • Sturdy tongs and a useful algae scrapper

I ordered this set primarily for the two feeding tongs. I needed one to feed a ball python and another to feed earthworms to an eel. Both of the tongs are well made and sturdy. After receiving the kit, I also found the aquarium scrappy pretty handy, especially with some of the hard species of algae that grow on the aquarium glass. The large scrapper made quick work of the algae, much faster than my algae sponge, and didn't feel like the scrapper was scratching the glass. Not sure what I will end up using the scissors for, but I used them to cut some paper packaging and they cut through it smoothly so I'm sure I can find a use around the house.     • Great kit for small fish tanks
This is a pretty good set of tools. I use them in aquariums, so these are basically planting and trimming tools for me. I find the scraper useful. Unlike plastic scrapers that go blunt quickly, this one is great for scraping algae off the glass. I don’t recommend it in acrylic tanks though, as it may scratch them. The scissors have a great shape for pruning plants. The material tools are made of is strong and works well under water. However, I haven’t used them long enough to testify for their corrosion resistance. The only not so great thing with this set is that they are mostly suitable to use in small tanks. You have to get your hands wet if you work in larger tanks. The price is good for a 4-piece set. ... show more
