  • It punches a hole!
Do you need to punch one hole? Do you need to punch through anything thick? Like three layers of heavy cardstock? This hole punch can do it. It's all-metal construction means that it's very sturdy. The handles are slightly patterned, but not covered with plastic or any other material. This isn't the most comfortable tool in my office toolbox. The hole punch feels substantial and well crafted. However, it gets the job done by making a nice, clean punched hole even through thick material and multiple layers. A catcher on the other side of punch is meant to contain your newly made confetti. It works only in part. The hinge isn't very stiff, so the catchers has a tendency of opening. It's best to punch holes over a container of some sort. This hole punch had remained sharp even after months of regular abuse by having it go through multiple layers of cardstock at the same time. There are many hole punches on Amazon, but I like this one. ... show more

  • Does what it suppose to
This Officemate 1-Hole Punch is a handy little tool for small-scale paper-punching tasks. It’s lightweight, compact, and perfect for occasional use. The 5-sheet capacity is ideal for quick jobs like organizing documents or creating tags. The punch creates clean and precise holes without requiring much effort, which is a big plus for such a simple tool. One feature I appreciate is the built-in paper chip catcher, which keeps my workspace tidy. However, if you’re looking to punch through thicker stacks of paper or heavy materials, this might not be the best choice. Overall, it’s a reliable and affordable solution for light-duty tasks, and I’d recommend it for home or small office use! ... show more

  • Cheap and does the job well
Maybe I got lucky but this cheap little hole puncher works great for me. I use it not only on thinner paper but also cardboard. And thick greetingcards and "to/from" gift notes so I can then put thread through and tie them to gifts. So far so good. Very clear hole lined, I also like that it collects the holes it punches out in the lower compartment, so no mess left behind. Gently push down on it (you only need to pry it open a bit to empty all the punch-outs). First time I pushed it out so hard, that little compartment flew off, haha. BUT I was able to easily pop it back in, and it works as if it never happened, I just go easy on prying it open. Basically inexpensive tool for crafts. And even if it breaks on me down the line, considering it barely cost me anything, I'm just happy it helped me deal with all my Christmas gifting, notes and cards at the end of this year. ... show more

  • works well enough
This hole punch works well enough but does not go through multiple sheets easily. Is not as sturdy as some others, but is functional enough to keep. Fairly good value, but client wishes it was studier and easier to punch multiples.

  • Fell apart on day one.
After punching about a dozen holes into some cards, the punch became mis-aligned. I couldn’t get it to line up properly and squeezed a little harder. The whole thing came apart. It’s cheap junk.
