Just do it. Don't even think about it. My chair glides so smoothly now. It moves in whatever direction I'd like, rather than getting stuck with one wheel going the wrong direction and dragging along behind. It's SO much quieter! My downstairs neighbor actually thanked me for making the change. It scuffs up the floor less, and the larger smoother wheels pick up less dust and fur and gunk from the floor than the tiny little wheels my chair came with. Add to all this that it looks good, too. And if you're inclined to see how fast you can roll your chair down the building's hallway at 4 am? I guarantee no one will hear you do it!

I got these in lieu of a much more expensive set that I had on another chair. These were half the price, but honestly seem just as good. Effortless, smooth rolling on hardwood and vinyl floors. Doesn't jam and scrape the finish like the default plastic casters. No deformation or weirdness even carrying my rather substantial bulk. Installation was a snap. No complains or concerns; very happy with the purchase.

I rarely give out 5 start reviews because there is always something I'm not happy about. But these wheels have completely changed my chair. I bought the chair for looks, but it had really bad castors! These skate wheels are fantastic, and work, even for myself, who is a bit overweight. The gold is a bit shinier than my brushed gold base, but I can live with it, because now I can roll all around my office with NO effort.

Bought a new desk chair (pictured) and the cheap wheels that came with it would get stuck any time I tried to move the chair. They were also noisy and annoyed me to no end. Saw these, read the reviews and they are a game changer. These wheels look great, are super smooth and have zero noise.

Love these! I bought these on recommendation from several members of a sewing group. I replaced the wheels that came with my new chair with these. Not only do they roll a lot smoother, but thread doesn’t seem to get caught either. I’ve had this for several months and am very pleased.

Maybe I'm missing something, but replacing the old casters on my office chair with these turned my computer chair into a shopping cart. There is no control over movement. When you roll one way or another, the wheels kind of decide when you stop rather than stopping where you intended to stop. There are no wheel locks to keep it in place if you'd like to stay in one spot. A slight movement and you're rolling somewhere else. Replacing the first of 5 casters was easy. The others did NOT want to come out. It was not nearly as straightforward and easy as the article I had read that made me decide to try this. While I did enjoy the feel of the rollerblade wheels and I like how they treat the wood floors, it just doesn't make up for the lack of control over movement. Unfortunately, I'll have to ditch this chair and just buy a new chair after all. Sad. Wanted this to work! I will say - I think I saw advertised some other versions of these rollerblade office wheels where they've offered wheel locks. Might be worth looking into.
