Do you like changing alternators in your 2008 Saturn Vue? Do you find doing jobs twice is the best way to do things? Did you want to buy another battery for your vehicle anyway? Is frustrating troubleshooting your favorite way to spend your weekend? Boy is this product for you!! My son's alternator gave up the ghost. I removed it (and the battery it smoked), took it all down to the local auto parts store and had them tested. Alternator was bad, so was the battery (batt died from not being charged by the alternator). The auto parts store wanted $360 for a new alternator and they didn't have one in stock so it would be a day or two before one showed. While I pondered that, I bought a $200 battery and looked here on Amazon for a cheaper solution. Lo and behold, there's this mismanufactured trash heap for half price! And it would be to my house quicker too!! Sold!! 23 days later and I'm out in a neighboring state at 2AM picking up my son and his friends from the side of the road. $75 for the car dolly rental, $200 for ANOTHER battery (they can only go so low on voltage before they are DOA), and buying the $360 alternator I should have bought in the first place. Did I mention that you have to pull the passenger side engine mount to access the alternator? No? I did it. Twice. After I troubleshot the vehicle for a day thinking the alternator HAD to be good, it's new! Take a look at the test results at Napa on the image attached. 23 days. It probably actually quit after about 18, and then ate the battery as the following days progressed. Steaming garbage is being generous. This is a straight up scam. ... show more

Replaced it myself on my 2009 Saturn Vue XR 3.6l. Car started right up. Unfortunately the crappy Walmart battery that was installed just before the alternator went out was bad but after getting a better quality one from advanced auto, everything is working great. Word of advice: don’t ever buy car batteries from Walmart. I’ve had 3 different ones fail in less than 6 months. One was for my other car and two were for my Saturn. Both the original and warranty replacement failed before the warranty was up. ... show more

Did some research on this company and found out they have been around for 30 years and get pretty high overall ratings on their parts. My specific part arrived quickly, was boxed nice and appears to be good quality. I did not even realize when purchasing the item is brand new. I was expecting a reman part. Comes with a 1 year warranty plus I purchased and additional 3 year warranty as well. Took care of my battery light. So far, so good and for the price I do not think you can go wrong. ... show more
