Nice specialized calipers for auto work or other.

This specialized caliper for measuring brake rotor disks by ODESON is a digital micrometer with a 0-150mm/0-6" range. It's useful for a lot more than just brake rotors, but due to the specialized jaws it's perfect for rotors as they have a raised lip typically. Regardless what you use it for it's a good thickness gauge for auto & DIY. It's USB-C rechargeable which is rare for digital calipers. The display offers readings for MM/Inch/F and it's also IP54 waterproof. Made from stainless steel. It comes with a pretty nice case. The adjustability is good, the stability of the readings is fairly repeatable and accurate. I sometimes do need to re-zero the gauge. It's about as easy to use like any similar caliper. The cover rubber for the USB-C slot is definitely going to rip off at some point, it's attached by a hair thin little rubber or silicone strip.

Useful digital gauge for brake rotors and garage measurements

This digital brake rotor micrometer is a handy tool if you do your own car maintenance or need more accurate thickness measurements. The longer jaw shape makes it easier to measure brake rotors than using a regular caliper… It also works for other flat materials, pipe walls, and general garage measuring jobs. The display is large and easy to read, and switching between mm, inches, and fractions is convenient. I also like that it is rechargeable, so I do not have to keep looking for small button batteries… It feels solid in the hand, but I would still keep it clean and dry as much as possible. super accurate digital caliper!

This digital caliper is amazingly precise and very useful. I have been using it for everything from measuring the head of a bolt to know what size socket or wrench I need, to measuring the diameter of the shaft of a bolt to see what size drill bit I need to use to make a hole for the bolt. It is precise enough to measure the thickness of a single sheet of paper, just make sure that you close it all the way first and reset it to zero before you begin your measurement. I've also heard that it is important to store these without pressure between the two measuring ends, so close it all the way and then open it very slightly before putting it back in the case so that there's no pressure on the arms. It is very easy to use and the buttons are pretty self-explanatory, they switched between millimeters, inches, and fractions. Appearance-wise, it looks very nice and comes with a nice, hard shell, foam-filled protective case to keep it in so it does not get damaged in between uses. It has made working on my car a lot easier because I don't have to fumble around looking for the right size socket or wrench, I just take a single measurement and I know what I need. Overall I have to rate this caliper five stars because it works so great. It's nice and heavy and has a good sturdy feel to it. I definitely recommend it!

Simple Reliable Brake Gauge That Just Works When You Need It.

This is one of those tools there where you don’t think you need it… until you’ve got it in your hand, and now you’re wonderin’ how you got by without it there hey. Right off the bat, the shape makes sense. You’re not fightin’ a standard caliper tryin’ to sneak it into a rotor like you’re pickin’ a lock or somethin’. This one just goes in there nice and easy, gets the measurement, and you’re done there. That handle setup… that’s thoughtful design there. The display is big, bright, and easy to read. None of that squintin’ and second guessin’. You can flip between mm, inches, and fractions without doin’ math in your head like it’s shop class all over again there. That alone saves time and a little sanity. So there's that. Accuracy seems right where it oughta be. For brake work, metal thickness, general garage nonsense… it’s givin’ consistent readings and not playin’ games with you. That’s what you want there. You don’t need lab equipment… you need something that tells you the truth. Now the rechargeable battery… that’s the quiet hero here hey. Every digital caliper you own is dead the exact moment you need it. That’s just the law of the land. This one, you plug it in, charge it up, and you’re back in business. No scavenger hunt for button batteries there. Build feels solid enough for real shop use. Not delicate, not fussy. Feels like it can live in a drawer, get knocked around a bit, and still do its job without complainin’. At the end of the day, this is a straightforward, well-thought-out tool that does exactly what it’s supposed to do there. Nothing flashy, just dependable. And that’s exactly what you want when you’re measurin’ something that actually matters. ★★★★★ 5 stars This is a five star deal at this price point there.

Excellent screen plus USB charging

This set of calipers works great. The screen is large with crisp, easy to read numbers. And, I like that this one doesn't follow that flawed idea that numbers after the decimal ought to be in a small font. For me, I already have a rough idea of the size, so the larger numbers are already known. It's the small numbers, the ones at 0.00 and 0.000 that matter most. The calipers don't have an absolute origin, but the do zero out at the point where they're turned on. And the buttons have a good detent, so you get a slight click for feedback. Also, I really like having a rechargeable battery built in. The battery seems to last forever, anyhow. Plus, there's no more of that silliness of unscrewing the battery to make sure it's not flat the next time that you pick it up. The brake measuring is accurate and easy. These calipers are a bit heavier than most, but there's also a good rubber handle to make them easier to hold. And, because the measuring point is a large flat area with both metric and decimal conversions, the calipers are more versatile and can be used for any other measuring purpose, too. At just over $30, these calipers are an excellent bargain.

This caliper comes in a nice plastic case for storage. The red handle offers a nice grip, but also slides off for larger measurements up to about 6 inches (about 150mm), making this a very versatile, easy to use device. The mode changes between metric, inch, and inch fractions, which is pretty nice for those of us still trapped in the nightmare legacy imperial measurement system. It measures 2 decimal places in mm, 3 decimal places in inch, and also 1/128 inch resolution. The displace is bright and clear and large, making this very easy to read. The rechargeable USB-C port eliminates the need for spare odd sized batteries. It comes with a cable too, so you can plug it into your phone charger or other USB power supply to get this charged back up quickly with searching for batteries. There are 2 drawbacks to this caliper you should be aware of. It has no depth gage, and it cannot read inside diameters. But the design of this does allow to get into tighter places, such as checking brake rotor thickness, which makes up for the missing depth measurement and and ID measurement functions. This will probably become my go to caliper for most quick measurements because of the rechargeable battery and easy to read display.

Accurate and Convenient Tool for Brake Measurements

This digital brake rotor micrometer turned out to be a surprisingly solid tool for both garage work and general measuring tasks. The readings have been consistent and repeatable when checking rotor thickness, and the digital display is easy to read even in lower lighting conditions. Switching between mm and inch measurements is quick, and the response time feels fast without a lot of lag or jumping numbers. The stainless steel construction gives it a better feel than the ultra-cheap plastic measuring tools out there. It has enough weight to feel durable without being overly bulky, and the jaws line up properly when closed. The rechargeable feature is also convenient since you don’t have to keep spare button batteries around, especially if the tool sits in the toolbox for long periods. For brake work specifically, the extended reach helps get into areas where a normal caliper can be awkward to position. The IP54 rating is another practical feature since tools like this inevitably end up around brake dust, moisture, and dirty shop conditions. A couple downsides: the buttons feel slightly stiff at first, and the included charging cable is fairly short. The display also isn’t backlit, which would have made it easier to use under a vehicle or in darker work areas. Overall, this feels like a dependable measuring tool that’s accurate enough for real automotive maintenance while still being simple enough for DIY use. It does the job well without feeling cheap or gimmicky.
