This is one of those tools there where you don’t think you need it… until you’ve got it in your hand, and now you’re wonderin’ how you got by without it there hey. Right off the bat, the shape makes sense. You’re not fightin’ a standard caliper tryin’ to sneak it into a rotor like you’re pickin’ a lock or somethin’. This one just goes in there nice and easy, gets the measurement, and you’re done there. That handle setup… that’s thoughtful design there. The display is big, bright, and easy to read. None of that squintin’ and second guessin’. You can flip between mm, inches, and fractions without doin’ math in your head like it’s shop class all over again there. That alone saves time and a little sanity. So there's that. Accuracy seems right where it oughta be. For brake work, metal thickness, general garage nonsense… it’s givin’ consistent readings and not playin’ games with you. That’s what you want there. You don’t need lab equipment… you need something that tells you the truth. Now the rechargeable battery… that’s the quiet hero here hey. Every digital caliper you own is dead the exact moment you need it. That’s just the law of the land. This one, you plug it in, charge it up, and you’re back in business. No scavenger hunt for button batteries there. Build feels solid enough for real shop use. Not delicate, not fussy. Feels like it can live in a drawer, get knocked around a bit, and still do its job without complainin’. This specialized caliper for measuring brake rotor disks by ODESON is a digital micrometer with a 0-150mm/0-6" range. It's useful for a lot more than just brake rotors, but due to the specialized jaws it's perfect for rotors as they have a raised lip typically. Regardless what you use it for it's a good thickness gauge for auto & DIY. It's USB-C rechargeable which is rare for digital calipers. The display offers readings for MM/Inch/F and it's also IP54 waterproof. Made from stainless steel. It comes with a pretty nice case. The adjustability is good, the stability of the readings is fairly repeatable and accurate. I sometimes do need to re-zero the gauge. It's about as easy to use like any similar caliper. The cover rubber for the USB-C slot is definitely going to rip off at some point, it's attached by a hair thin little rubber or silicone strip.

Nice pair of digital calipers that measured accurately when tested against another pair we have that are confirmed to be properly calibrated. I got this to have a spare pair since I'm tired of needing to steal my spouse's from their workshop when I'm checking the thickness of items for Vine reviews, lol. I like that since these are meant for automotive work, there's enough length and depth to allow for checking a variety of objects. Also love that it's rechargeable and by USB-C, though unfortunately it cannot use a fast charger and says specifically to not exceed a 5v charger (a cord is included). One confusing aspect though is that the listing photos say it's IP54 waterproof followed by water resistant, but the included paperwork explicitly states to "keep the caliper clean and dry" as "liquids may cause it to malfunction." Not that I'm planning to use it underwater or anything, but can it handle occasional water exposure or not? Overall though they're accurate and easy to use, it comes with a case that has a foam insert, and a spot to hang it by the included optional ring, so I'm satisfied and feel comfortable recommending these.

I really like this unit! The display screen is nice and big (good for those of us with older eyes), and it displays inches, mm, and fractions. The handle attachment is a really nice addition, making it easy to hold on to the caliper when inserting it into a wheel to measure discs. There's also a provision for a ring so you can hang it from a lanyard (I don't do this because it no longer fits in the case with the ring installed, and I keep my calipers in their cases). One of the pluses - I have several digital calipers and (Murphy's law), they ALWAYS seem to be dead when I need them most. This means I have to go searching for a battery, wait for the tool truck to come, or send someone to the store to get batteries. This one charges with a simple USB cable - a little thing, but pure genius in real life (I see they also have a solar one - I may have bought that one if I'd seen it first). The measurements are within 0.02 mm of my older digital calipers (that have been used and frankly, abused). This is certainly an acceptable margin of error for my use, and if I'm honest, I'd tend to trust this one over my older ones. I'd definitely purchase again.
