  • It's HOT!
Size: 2 Burner
This thing is surprisingly hot. We just played around forge welding some lawn mower blade metal. Did ok for our first try. The flames are intense so I'm curious how much propane we're going to burn through. Seems pretty well build. The insulation is fragile, not their fault. You just have to be careful. ... show more

  • Fantastic sword forge
Size: 4 Burner
Blacksmith of 10 years here. This is a great sword forge but it’s a little big for anything smaller than that. Been running it hot and it has held up perfectly fine. Make sure to remove the burners after use and hang them somewhere safe (usually on my forge stand support beam) to prevent heat creep messing with the burners. Take care of your tools and they’ll take care of you. Not a bad price either ... show more

  • Working well, gets hot!
Size: 2 Burner
This forge works really well. Having doors on either end is a great convenience. Gets hot enough to forge weld. My only issue is that there is no inline gas control so you have to rely solely on the valve that connects at the gas cylinder. But so far it’s better than the two other gas forges I’ve tried. ... show more

  • Great option for price and value
Size: 2 Burner
Loving this forge! Works really well. Especially considering price. For just starting out, its worth it.

  • Great forge for the price.
Size: 2 Burner
The media could not be loaded. No complaints. Great for the price. Only thing I can say negatively is it should come with a warning to let you know the insulation has to be coated before using. The insulation can mess up your lungs if it’s not coated. Plus, as the name implies, it makes the insulation more ridged I used a rigidizer from Simwool. It’s simple to assemble and easy to use. For the money, it’s hard to beat. ... show more

  • Great starter forge!
Size: 2 Burner
Easy to assemble and heats up steel very quickly! You have to apply some rigidizer and refractory to the ceramic insulation but after that this thing will perform great! I got this 3 days ago and already have made 12 knives! Love it!

  • It works
Size: 1 Burner
Works as advertised, but the regulator is VERY scary to operate. Be careful, other than that it did what I needed it to do.

  • One of my favorite budget purchases ever.
Size: 1 Burner
I don't give many 5 star ratings on Amazon because I'm usually hard on items. But this was the first forge I ever bought and it's shockingly awesome. I've had it for 3 years and it continues to impress. As I'm sure all of the other reviews say, you absolutely MUST use refractory cement and cover the ceramic wool or it's a serious health hazard. I've had to skim coat this a few times over the years, but it remains solid. I would recommend removing the doors and placing standard fire brick on the sides instead. Otherwise, I'm looking at getting the 2 burner because I need more heat for forge welding. Seriously, buy it. Just use refractory cement. ... show more
