I bought this a size up from my normal size, because skirts often feel too tight on my hips/butt and end up riding up so much that they bunch up weirdly at my waist and barely cover my butt anymore (even if the skirt is knee-length). So I was wondering if a larger size would fix the issue. A size up in this skirt fits nicely on the hips and doesn't look like I'd have to pull it down at every step, but in turn there's a huge gap at the waist. I was gonna sew it, but the material is barely stretchy - so if I were to sew it to fit my waist, I am sure I would not be able to pull it up past my hips anymore. The shape of the skirt itself (without me wearing it) looks like it's not really made for someone with a large hip:waist ratio. I think that if you buy the right size and only intend to use it for the office, this would be a great skirt because the material is thick and good quality. I originally bought this skirt for dancing to replace a similar skirt I had, but there's so little stretch that even a size up I don't think I'd be able to dance well in it, and definitely not if it were my size. ... show more

Really cute skirt. Comfortable but unfortunately, fabric is too see-through and since I refuse to wear a slip under such fitted skirt, had to return it. Really too bad since it's exactly the length & fit I'm looking for.
