Iresearched composite to carbon fiber paddles to see which is lighter yet strong enough to not exhaust you from padding so you cannot fish. Not all carbo fiber is the same and some are so light that they bend warp or break under pressure. If you do your research you will decide like I did.

I typically fish and just to leisure float trips from my kayak, (for context) Received my paddle the other day, First thing I noticed that the product had been doubled boxed to help protect it during the shipping process. I have read many of the reviews about this paddle, so I inspected it closely for any possible delamination's in the handle area, none to be found. I am not an expect by any means, but I was impressed by this paddle. Considerably lighter then my current aluminum paddle (mind you that my current setup is only 237 cm and I ordered a 250 cm and this was half the weight). I will take it out on the water this weekend to test the actual performance. Overall I am happy with the construction, lightweight of it, and the always love freebies (paddle leash that came with it). I will recommended this to my family to update their kayak equipment and not break the bank doing it.

I tested this paddle (250cm, aqua) out within two hours of delivery, in Michigan, in February. It's pretty, lightweight, and performs beautifully at about a third of the price of the leading manufacturer (who only goes up to a 240cm). I'm very excited to test it out on more challenging trips once it warms up enough!

I am an intermediate paddler. I purchased this because of the low price for a carbon fiber paddle. I measured the left and right paddle separately and the total weight is 37.5 OZ/1060 gram, the customer Q/A said 34 oz, I guess that is for the 230cm one? The blade is not as solid as my 60 dollar Aluminium shaft paddle. You can also feel the flexibility of the shaft even when just swinging it in the air. Overall, I think you just need to spend more to get a solid lightweight paddle.

After reading the other reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect to be honest. It looks, works, fits together, and feels just right. The carbon fiber shaft is very light and strong. The orange paddles are plenty strong and molded very well. The water stoppers are a perfect fit. It even comes with a free lanyard that functions and fits great. Free bonuses are the best. This is just a great paddle for the money. I'm very satisfied with it. After seeing it and trying it out, my wife wants the same exact paddle to replace her current one. Time to start saving up for another one.
