  • Great buy!
Color: Orange Size: 90.5in/230cm
I had a stock paddle for a while and didn’t really feel a real need to upgrade it. I got to where I was going and it worked fine. Sometimes, if I haven’t paddled in a little while I’d get a blister on my thumb on the aluminum shaft. I love researching my hobbies and have been upgrading all the little things on the kayak and adding cool accessories and I kept seeing more about the benefit of spending a bit for a good paddle. I found this one in this price range (I can’t justify buying a $200 paddle...yet) to have the best reviews and comments. Every paddle’s comments had flaws, but the comments on this paddle seemed to be the best flaws I could live with, while most commenters had no flaws at all. So I bought it. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase! It really has made a difference in my comfort paddling long distances. It’s smoother in the water. The carbon fiber shaft is soft but firm in my hands - no blisters...not even close to getting a blister actually. If you’re thinking about upgrading your stock paddle, this is a great purchase. The cheaper ones will be more of the same stick type paddle. There are carbon shaft paddles that are about $20 cheaper maybe, but I found this one to have the length I needed and the shape paddle I was looking for - long and slender to glide through the water with ease while pushing me forward smoothly. It really does feel better. And now I have my stock paddle as a spare paddle tucked into the kayak. I pull that one out when I’m near shore and it’s rocky and I don’t care if it gets banged up. My new baby will be cared for well while the old paddle does all the dirty work - lol Buy with confidence! ... show more

  • Looking for your favorite color?
Color: Black Size: 90.5in/230cm
This is a great, light-weight carbon fiber paddle for the price. However the seller seems to have problems keeping color options in stock - could be a China shipping thing with COVID. What many kayakers do is use Rust-o-leum for Plastic or Krylon Fusion sprays to paint each side of their paddle ends with contrasting colors, like bright yellow and dark green. So the fact that Black is the cheapest and most available option for this paddle is not a big deal. When it arrives, give it a light sanding and pick up some of these spray paints at the hardware store or walmart to do the paddle ends. Oh, and you'll want to add neoprene paddle grips too, to prevent blisters. ... show more

  • Best value for your money!
Color: Blue Size: 90.5in/230cm
I just started kayaking, and love this paddle! It is a great value having a carbon fiber shaft. My husband did not want me buying a paddle with an aluminum shaft (he was thinking electric storms and lightning). It is well-made, light weight, and smooth in the water. I researched many paddles and this one always seemed to make it to the top of my list. The reviews on many sites were always positive and it was on several "Top Paddle" lists from independent surveys. I certainly did not want to pay $200 for a paddle right now, but I wanted a good quality paddle, and I found it with Oceanbroad. You will be happy with this purchase. ... show more

  • Please check when received - several versions, carbon fiber and painted to look like CF.
Color: Black Size: 90.5in/230cm
The first paddle I received was not carbon fiber. It appears to be a metal shaft with printed or painted graphics that look like carbon fiber. It looks great...but it was just a metal shaft paddle. To their credit, the seller contacted me and corrected the order with a carbon fiber shaft paddle. They apologized, and said it was a shipping mistake. Appreciative they fixed the mix up. Still confusing why the seller would manufacture products that look identical but are different quality. Bottom line: this is a good value if you get an actual carbon fiber shaft. Check carefully. ... show more

  • Nice paddle for the price!
Color: Orange Size: 90.5in/230cm
First of all, I am fairly new to kayaking. I haven't owned my own set up till now. My experience is limited to half a dozen outings on cheap equipment. Now that I have invested in my own kayak, I wanted to purchase good gear at reasonable prices. Enter Oceanbroad Kayak Paddle. This is a carbon fiber paddle, lightweight and priced within my budget. It is a definite improvement over the "included paddle" that some kayaks come with. I am well pleased with my purchase and would recommend it to others that are looking for a paddle in this price range. ... show more

  • Great Value for a Paddle
Color: Orange Size: 90.5in/230cm
Comparing this to a AquaBound Eagle Ray Carbon, the OCEANBROAD is a bit heavier and less efficient but these negatives are far offset by the price. Paddling I could not really tell a big difference, but maybe for a longer time it would become apparent. Carbon shaft is solid carbon (no fiberglass) and is well made. Inside of shaft is sealed with foam plugs. The connection is solid between the two halves, but the locking spring feels cheap and is the weakest part of the whole paddle. The blades are plastic - they flex a bit but will standup to rough use such as rocks better than carbon/fiberglass blades. Overall a great value in a $90 paddle. ... show more

  • Very happy with purchase
Color: Orange Size: 90.5in/230cm
I'm new to kayaking so while waiting for these I jumped at cheaper paddles at a store before these arrived. Thought I'd return these when I got them. What a difference in paddles, even as a newbie I could tell. These are so much lighter. All the other paddles I saw for $200 or more are probably better still but I don't want to pay that! Light and the fact they come apart is handy for traveling. Where they join together is tight, no wobbling. The chesper ones didn't come apart but did rotate for a feathered option and had a lot of looseness where it rotated. I'm very happy with purchase. ... show more

  • awesome
Color: Orange Size: 90.5in/230cm
This product is a great value compared to other brands of the same quality. I am new to kayaking but these paddles constructed and engineered well. Very light weight making it easier to paddle. The design of the paddle itself being made of fiberglass I believe, has a little bend which I think is intended but not enough to hinder your stroke. The ability to offset the paddles -/+ 60 degrees along with being able to separate it makes it more convenient to travel with as well. I would recommend this to anybody who is new or even an experienced in kayaking ... show more
