As good as the more expensive brand of wheels / casters

I used these 3-inch wheels to replace the smaller ones on a Corsair T3 Rush (2023) gaming chair. The chair gains about an inch in height, which in my case is appreciated, though you can simply adjust the chair's cylinder if you suddenly get vertigo from that dramatic change in altitude. Yes the wheels are very quiet and roll freely and don't damage the floor or carpet or anything. Be advised though you may notice how lumpy your nasty old carpet as the wheels try to glide over them. I'm one of those lunatics who uses their gaming chair like a step stool sometimes so I got the ones with brakes to help prevent me from dying horribly. The lever to activate them might stick out a little obviously, some people don't like it but it's a non-issue in my opinion. When you pull up the chair to a desk the brake levers naturally rotate towards the back, so you won't be smacking your ankles into them during normal use. As an aside, I can't help but laugh when clone products like these come with the Transparency App QR code to check that they're authentic. Listen peeps, we know these are all the same items, made in the same factories, just rebranded, it's okay, we don't care, we just want items that work well. Thankfully these wheels work great. I'd pick these over the Lifelong wheels that are double the price for the same performance.

High Quality Castors, just with Sharp Edges

Great casters that are high quality. The only cons I’ve come across with these is regarding the locking mechanism. First being the tab that presses the brake onto the wheel has pretty sharp corners, so I find myself scraping the back of my feet on the corners of these tabs often. If these tabs were coated with rubber or a soft material it would prevent this from happening. Also the brake has to be pressed pretty hard in order for it to engage, and once it releases keep fingers clear because it has a lot of recoil. But once the wheel is locked it is totally solid and does not skid or slide in any way. Overall these castors are great and work well, I just wish those tabs had a rubber coating to soften the sharp edges.

Works great!

I got these so that I wouldn't roll backwards in my chair from pressing the pedals when I'm playing Forza. Works like a charm! And the wheels are crazy smooth. I'm never going back to regular casters.

Brakes are difficult to engage

Great wheels, though I wanted to write this review just to state that the wheel brakes are pretty difficult to engage, especially if only wearing socks, though you really only need to lock a couple to completely cease movement. Otherwise these are nice. I used to have smaller diameter double wheels but wanted the brakes. I will say these don't seem to change direction as easily, not because of any flaw in the product, but just by design (a double wheel tends to pivot better).

Excellent wheels, mediocre brakes

This is a good quality polyurethane wheel with a steel frame and precision bearings. As wheels go, these are top notch, no complaints. The brake, however, I find to be barely sufficient. The design of the brake is common. Your force on the brake lever depresses a springsteel projection into the wheel at an angle. This is effective at holding the wheel in place. However, it is quite difficult to actually actuate the brake, especially by hand, and seemingly even more difficult to disengage. The brake is applied by stepping on or pressing on the top of the flat plastic brake lever. That angles down, jamming the brake into the wheel, where it locks just past 90 degrees. The effort required to press the lever down is considerable. It's easy to make that much force with your foot, but the lever is quite small, so is difficult (at least for me, with US size 11 shoes) to press the button with my foot. More often, however, I press the brake buttons with my *thumbs*. While that might sound weird, I use the brakes to lock my chair into position when I'm already sitting in it. So perhaps this use case is more common than was considered by the designers. The other, more problematic issue with the brakes is how violently they disengage. To disengage the brake you reach under the lever and pull it back up. This seems simple, but as soon as the lever goes past 90 degrees is SNAPS back violently, and can easily hurt your fingers. I find I have to be especially careful disengaging these brakes. Summary: Great wheels, mediocre brakes. I would look for a better overall design.
