At first the seat and back of the chair felt very hard to me. The more I use this recliner the more comfortable it gets. Some chairs will set off back problems- this recliner does not. I get what I call The Ahh Factor when I sit in it-my back muscles relax and you feel a great sense of relaxation. The pillow sets this chair apart from all the others. Sometimes I even put it on my lap while sitting up and put my cell on it while using it. Assembly is not difficult but not as easy as the video shows. Getting the back on is tricky if you are alone. I ended up having to tape the back flap of fabric up so I could see the brackets. The chair is moving, the back is heavy, its hard to see what you are doing, but after a few tries I got the back on properly. I have no problem closing down the footrest, but I have strong legs from biking. Chair fits nicely in my small space. It seems sturdy and well made, but only time will tell. I have been hunting & reading reviews for new recliners for a while now…I don’t care about them massaging me! I want comfort & style, while providing the option to swivel, rock and recline. I finally found exactly what I was searching for in this chair! The price was right also❣️ After ordering, I received an informative email explaining delivery and it was spot on! Each chair was delivered in 2 packages (4 total) and they all came the same day & quickly! As a female senior, I was able to get the boxes up my stairs and assembled fast and effortlessly! What a delight! The only reason why I knocked off a star is because of the difficulty in closing the footrest. I have to close the footrest after standing up with my hands! My darn short legs! The reviews say that it loosens up with use, and I look forward to that happening! It feels like it’s already getting smoother and it’s only been a weeks use. I will definitely update this review when it happens. All in all I feel like this was a fantastic purchase! It’s checked all my boxes, so I am going to sit back and enjoy these! This chair is pretty comfy. The only concern is that the way the arms assemble to the chair they aren't very sturdy at all. You can't lean on them too much or use them to get out of the chair.

I had wrote a previous review on this chair where I mentioned that I injured myself because the footrest is too tense to push back. The seller contacted me and said he was sorry for my injury regarding the footrest. Then he said he would refund me $30.00 . I thought it was a nice jesters on his part, but I did not get the refund. I contacted Amazon and the rep called the vendor who said they would refund the $30.00. To my surprise, I got an email to my Amazon account from the vendor saying that I will get the $30.00 when I took down my review. I was passed. I could not return the chair because it's packaged in such a way that you must tear the box and I would have to pay $100.00 shipping. I decided to at least get the $30.00 and then write this review. This chair is very uncomfortable. I don't use it. It's there for short uses by guests. The arm rests are hard with very little cushion and you literally have to jump off the chair because the footrest is extremely hard. I don't like writing bad reviews, but reviews are important and that's why I buy on Amazon, because I like readi.g people's opinion about the products. ... show more

The set up and installation on these chairs is very simple. The chairs are very comfortable. After our first trip with the chairs in our camper, I found that the chairs do move around a bit. I simply fastened the chairs down with two hole conduit 3/4” straps and some 3/4” wood screws.

I was very hesitant about ordering a recliner online but after much research and reading lots of reviews I took the plunge. I am very satisfied with this chair. I am 5'1, 126 lbs. This chair is just right for me and it is so soft and comfortable. My feet don't hang off the end when reclining. The only con I have is the difficulty in using my legs to close the recline. The spring is really strong and being elderly my legs are not strong enough to lock the footrest in place so I have to get out and use my hands. That's the disadvantage of a manual chair over electric. I love being able to rock and swivel. Overall, I am pleased with the chair. It's also very soft material and the pillow comes in handy too. I purchased a beautiful, soft, luxurious cover with pockets. I don't think I could have chosen a better chair in store. I enjoy sitting in this chair to read, recline as far back as I want to and to take a nice, long snooze. ... show more

    • Footrest a Problem

WE are older people and getting the footrest to retract is difficult. Pulling it in with your legs and feet is difficult if you have older legs and feet. Hopefully it will loosen up over time.
