I have never used an airbrush in my life. There is a learning curve, basically learning to use the best paint and learning how to thin the paint down to the right consistency. Once you do that (Took me a day) you will be off and running. I bought this to paint 17 worn faded lawn ornaments. This is designed for smaller intricate work but I made it work well for me. You quickly get a feel for the mention you need and this did a beautiful job painting. Cleanup, which is critical is very easy. I’m 69 with arthritic fingers and had zero problem. Air pressure is fully adjustable and it comes with the spray head sizes and cleaning tools. Not for painting cars but perfect for model or in my case lawn ornaments. I heard people use this for cake decorating which I will be trying. Take your time, get the right paints, watch a couple videos on the net and have fun. This is a very nice unit. Relatively quiet, quality sprayer and compressor. Everything you need to get started ( Less paint). Worth every penny. You will not regret this sprayer.

Having never used an airbrush, I was hesitant to get one. But some home and craft projects were calling for something that could provide an even application of paint to multiple surfaces. It has everything you need to start painting… except for the paint. My daughter wanted to try it out so bad though, we improvised with food coloring. It worked but, eh. Order the real paint when you order the gun. The kit was very easy to assemble. The instruction guide is through and it seems overwhelming with so many diagrams… but it isn’t. The issues I had with this had nothing to do with the actual kit and everything to do with an impatient kid wanting to try it out immediately. After we bought the appropriate airbrush paint. I learned that watering down acrylic paint did not work even though air brush paint is acrylic. I learned that food coloring gel in water work great! I plan on using this for cake decorating too. Take a look at the pics to get an idea of what all in included. It really is quite easy and cleanup is not that bad. Overall, I am very happy with this product. I highly recommend buying the appropriate paint at the same time though because you will want to use it immediately.

If you are looking to start using an airbrush machine this is a great entry level airbrush tool. It is easy to use but the only problem that I see is getting the correct product to put in it. I am looking to use this to paint some Christmas decorations that have faded but finding the correct paint is a bit harder. You are going to have to do a lot of research. There are some paints you can use but you need dinner for them or a solvent. I was lucky enough to run across some here on Amazon that don't require a solvent. I would prefer those because getting the mixture of solvent to paint correct I read is a little difficult. I would also like to try to use this for airbrushing cakes and not sure if my gel food colors would work in this. Another thing I would prefer this to be is a sea powered but it is a rechargeable battery which is fine it has good strength but my thought is these batteries only take so many charging before they no longer work. But I will cross that bridge when I get to it. Another thing I have not been able to determine is if you use the unit for acrylic paints or nail polish finishes can you also use it for food products. There is definitely a large learning curve one I know I can master and you can too. Just Google the brand name and whatever you're looking to find out and you will end up getting a ton of results on YouTube.

At first, I had problems getting the airbrush gun itself to work decently, but eventually I got it to spray at least somewhat okay. I couldn't get much of a spray out of it even with the .5 nozzle, though. The paint was perhaps just a little too thick, but it was no thicker than what I use with my other guns. It still works fairly well, but it's just kind of slow when you use it. Oh well. I did have a lot better luck when using another spray gun with this compressor. The compressor is fairly strong and will pump out a decent amount of air and spray a decent amount of paint if you use maybe a different gun with it. It's a lot easier to haul around than my bigger compressor, which is a definite plus. Recommended.
