Top Amazon Reviews

  • Not the quality I was hoping for...
Very cheap looking and flimsy. I've owned Oakley products and this does not seem like the same quality. Also, a little bigger than they looked on the site.

  • Poor warranty, frame breaks easily
I actually bought my Latch Alpha Prism sunglasses directly from Oakley, but could not find a place to review on their site. I don't normally write reviewed, but as I patched together these yet again, I feel obligated. I feel totally ripped off for a $300 dollar pair of sunglasses. Initially, after waiting forever to receive my sunglasses, I was impressed. The glasses are heavy and the glass is excellent. However, that did not last. Just a couple of months after buying the sunglasses they fell out of a pocket and took a short drop to the floor. An arm and all of its hardware blew off. That shocked me because the most cheap sunglasses are made to take a drop. The arm hardware for these glasses is not standard by any means. I made a warranty claim which is actually through Luxotica. Not only did they reject my warranty claim for a pair of glasses that broke with normal use, but they claimed they cannot provide or sell the hardware to fix the arm either. The arm falling off can only result from a design defect, improper installation at factory, or failure to meet a standard use requirements. They are not fit for the purpose of being sunglasses if they fall apart with a single fall. On top of not being able to sell hardware and not honoring their warranty, Luxotica offered to sell me a new pair for the low low price of more than half price of the original. For the price, the warranty and ease of breakage of these glasses made them a complete fail. If they had sold me a 5 dollar arm fix kit that would have been satisfactory, but since the warranty is so poor, standard parts don't exist, and they broke from a simple pocket fall, I would not buy these glasses every again. I've had other Oakley fails outside of warranty, but this is the first time I've been moved to write such a review. I didn't even have the glasses for three months. And when I complained of their response on the warranty, they simply stopped responding. ... show more
