Haven’t had a chance to water test it yet but the materials feel nice. I was struggling with size when making the purchase so I thought I’d drop in a fitment review. I’m 6’ and 165lbs and picked up a medium. It’s not super snug but with the straps it shouldn’t press up to my ears in the water. I’ve read that neoprene does loosen up a bit when wet. All in all I’d say it fits fairly true to size if not a tiny bit large. If you want it super snug or are in between sizes I’d suggest going for the smaller option. This life jacket is exactly as described in the product description. Zipper is well made and has a Velcro tab at the top to help it stay zipped. It’s a little long in the body for sit down hydrofoiling on a short person, but still comfortable and easy to get on. Easy to take off when wet.

I love this life vest, I also bought one for my wife from the same brand and she loves hers as well. Not only are they incredibly comfortable, but they serve their intended purpose very well. In addition, they look great, they're not all bulky and awkward looking like most life vests. I am grateful to finally have a life vest that I can be comfortable wearing and not dread putting on each time I go in the water. I'm an excellent swimmer, but growing up on Lake Michigan with constant rip currents and being dragged out multiple times in my youth, I simply don't take chances anymore, especially since I now live on the ocean. The material is incredibly comfortable. It's so soft and squishy, very much unlike the standard tough foam life jackets you're likely used to. It made my life a lot easier when I repeatedly capsized my sailboat, and needed to conserve energy to be able to right it again.
