Like so many other bad reviews on this suit, I have the same complaint. The zipper will not stay up. Seriously O'Neal? What a joke. Ive bought many wetsuits over the years. Some were really cheap no name brands and even they could make the zipper stay up. I gave it 2 stars because I love the fit. Armpits are smooth and dont cause rash with long sessions. I feel like a woody doll from toy story yanking my string the entire time I'm surfing. So disappointed. I remember when O'Neal was a good brand. I found a solution. Cut a small piece of plastic into rectangle. In this case I used the door on spice jar lid. Drill two holes on one side. Sew the plastic into the zipper path like a door that closes under the zipper. You can tell they have been making them for a long time by the quality of the material and the stitching. Compared to a friends cheap Ebay suit and I would pay twice the price for the Oneil.

Got this for a 4.4 mile open water swim and the suit started filling with water about 300 yard in, it was like swimming in wet clothing, then the zipper came undone due to the water inside the suit. I removed the suit and continued my race but it cost me a few minutes. I can’t get back the money I paid for the suit or the countless hours I trained for that race. ... show more
